If you’ve been hanging around for a while, especially in the <a href=”"http://www.gog.com/games">games tab</a>, you may have noticed that the growing number of items on our virtual shelf was inching closer and closer to our very first thousand - lo and behold, just this week we made it through our first 1k.

We could start off by thanking the Academy, our moms, and hoping for world peace - and it's not that we don't want to say all those things, but before we do, we want to thank the most important people that made it possible - all of YOU. It may sound a bit turgid and you might not believe that we're tearing up a little as we click "publish" on this piece of news, but you guys are the ones that make GOG.com what it is and our reason to continue bringing you more great games.

Before we break out the fruit punch, though, we want to honor those of you who almost caught up with us. We dug through our records and picked fifty users that have the most boxes on their own virtual shelves.

Let's all give an alphabetically ordered round of applause to:

Antarian, astrugar710, atomsword, AutumnYears, baketomato, Barry_Woodward, benjam47, budejovice, CuriousTwoAtGOG, Darthmort, Disciple_of_Doom, djr155, DonCorleon, Gersen, gorrrrrr, Heirgeir, howardtduck2005, ilcollezionista, jabba1971, JDelekto, KajQrd, kiwy, Kodijack, kotokimura, Lafazar, liquidBass, lobo_1, Loenas, maweball, mrkgnao, MTR77, Murfallo, mwmwm, n0nam3, OlK76, onthemike, palyea, Pantoprazol, sbaylus, Serpico, ShadowWulfe, Silvanus2004, soulroar, tippete, TrevWar, turbond, vasyl, VuA, xckx, and ZombieGum.

We will be contacting these guys personally for T-shirt sizes and mailing addresses for a little, personalized thank-you. We are off to celebrate - but before we go, here's to another thousand digital boxes on the GOG.com shelf!

JDelekto: Just my subjective opinion, but there might be some Javascript hijackers on your forums.
are there funny posts?

I do remember some weird posts about shoes and clothes, written in very very bad english, they appear or appeared a lot in the community wishlist, i never reported them because i thought it might be some ads or something.

JDelekto: Nice catch.
Who even are you? You don't trust me...but you quoted yourself? LOL.

Yes, I did, son.

jacobmarner: Wow, gratz. And gratz to the top 50.

I have 948 games on GOG, but that was clearly not enough to be in top 50. These guys must have *a lot* of games.
Wow, I only have a paltry 245 games. My virtual hat is off to you sir 8).

park_84: I'd be satisfied if at least we could have access to the gamecard of each title in our library, it's quite shameful that not even the system requirements are made available for those games that have been removed.
avatar
mrkgnao: Available on MaGog, including system requirements and links to the last surviving gamecard (on the Wayback Machine; click on the game title or image):

You've made a nice work with MaGog but this should be a feature implemented by GOG for their site.

gamesfreak64: The other fact that there isnt a subsitute to be found for GOG is true, cause like i said before in other replie, there are many websites with games,
but GOG is the best, better then steam, better then GG, and better then origin, and ubi.
I agree it is still better than the rest in some respects. Unfortunately, it is no longer good enough for me.
As you can easily surmise, I have enough games to last me a lifetime.
I can live without buying new games if there are no worthy alternatives to buy from.

P.S. I have been playing "King's Bounty: The Legend" (for the third time) for the last eight weeks and I'm still not yet halfway through. I actually have enough games to last me multiple lifetimes.
@oldschool, there isn't a race to get the most games. I picked up the old ones that GOG made available and having done so during one of their sales just kind of strung it along.

I haven't played all the games I own yet, but I'm trying.
OK, I can tell when I've worn out my welcome. Goodnight all and have a good weekend!

Thank you, GOG, for the honorable mention and the prospect of some distinguishing bonus. It's great that you care about your most loyal customers.

I doubt that I will ever play every game I bought, but the collector in me is pretty happy every time I have to swap the GOG external drive for a larger one. This time I got a 4 TB and I dare you to fill it up :)

P.S. One thing I hope you do for those of us with larger collections is streamline the downloader catalogue structure. It's sort of a mess at the moment.
Congratulations GOG!
Thank you for bringing us many great games in the last few years.

I wonder which Games will be in the next 1000.
Hoping for Street Fighter IV.

4 TB? wow thats nice , i have 1 TB 2.5 inch USB drive for storage and it has 500 mb left cause the rest is filled with GOG games (setups)

i have 44 GB filled with installed GOG games cause i have relative small games., only have 100 GB left

The catalogue is also a bit slow , the more games you have the longer the load.

A lot of names that I would have on my list too. Glad to see Braveland there. Not a super great game, but got a lot more bad publicity than it deserves, IMHO.

You should probably try:
- Blackguards
- Etherlords 2
- Fantasy Wars
- Freedom Force vs. the 3rd Reich
- S2: Silent Storm
