Okay, this is a bit odd, and not an extremely big deal, but back in 2008 when I first created an account with GOG, my account name was 'Deva'. Now for some reason I have a period and some random numbers added to the end of it so that it is now 'Deva.842'. Again, not a big deal but kind of strange.

You might want to check your password, game library, and orders history, as well as the email associated with the account. If you don't remember changing it, your account might've been hijacked, as has happened to some users on here.

That happened a couple years ago and I'd totally forgotten about it. :P

About half us got numbers stuck onto our logins. I was one of the lucky ones who was spared. Some people really went ballistic and to be honest I don't know if we ever got a concrete answer from GOG as to why.
No need to worry, actually. It's a gift from GoG itself.

Oh, really? I guess I haven't been around long enough to see that happen.

Ignore my answer, then.

Not your fault, it's probably hard for you to see anything whilst suctioned onto Mr e's peach-shaped buttocks.

Good point but a little bit too much information.

Thanks tinyE, I hadn't heard about that! Now the puzzle is solved. :)

Cheers. I kept my randomly assigned numbers as I couldn't be bothered.
Heads-up, it may or may not take a while for support to get back to you due to the ongoing sale, GOG Connect, and the weekend.

It's fine if it takes a while... I guess I've had it this way for a while, and couldn't be bothered to ask about it either. So I've waited this long, I can wait a bit longer. ;)

Kleetus: Good girl, fräulein.
So, if you use a German word (noun) in an English sentence, don't you still have to capitalize it?

Good point, just thought I'd mention it.

No.

I wish I was Euro so I could hang around with you.

Kleetus: No.
You just made that up, didn't you.
