So finaly my account was given back. TRhanks guys - you should really implement some security measures to avoid such things in the future.

Ciris: If you get such a message and it wasn't you who changed the email address, contact us.

Use the link at the end of the message ("contact our support team") to let us know it happened. You'll be redirected to our contact form - here's an example of how to fill that in.

We do our best to get back to hacked account emails as soon as possible, and to change the e-mail addresses as quickly as we can and restore the fully functional accounts to their rightful users.
Has this been fixed yet? Instead of getting an email that tells me my email address changed, send me a verification link to the old address.

You should probably disable email changing until this is done.

No it hasn't been addressed as the same thing keeps occurring. As I responded in the thread I linked, I cannot understand how this is still occurring when it has been going on for months and is easily preventable without even knowing the cause of the security breach (ie user or GOG's end).

Seems my account has been hacked too. Logged a ticket but still waiting on a response. Hopefully this will be posted as was still logged in.
Looks like I'm Russian now (I'm in UK).

Actually why would anyone be interested in taking over a GOG account? After all instead of downloading the games from GOG you can as well download them from somewhere else. Are they hoping to maybe find spare gift codes? Or is it pure sadism?

GOG really should think about 2FA. It's gone on for long enough. Even Indiegala has 2FA, how hard can it be?

I would guess they don't realise the account is stolen, or that accounts can't really be traded.

It shouldn't be. I've just had my account unlocked, and being left with a page in Russian isn't very good either. I've sorted that, but a fair few people couldn't (and shouldn't have too). There must be a way to reset accounts back to the original region, without translating a page and taking a stab at buttons which are still in a foreign language.
And now I have Witcher 3 in my inventory but can't delete it. I haven't purchased it...
