JDelekto: BTW, anyone can always take a spare moment to click and give food on The Hunger Site.

It costs nothing more than a click-through to donate food.
Thank you for reminding me about this wonderful site!

You're most welcome.... and to be honest, I keep forgetting about it from time to time. I should have donated to the Alzheimer's fund too!

So our winning nominations are Roadrunner Foodbank (nominated by momo1991) and Banco Alimentar Contra a Fome (nominated by Pardinuz).

Due to timezone differences and a few other bits and bobs, it may be an extra day or so until I can follow up with some confirmation of the donations having been made.

Thanks to all for your nominations, and hopefully, even if your chosen cause / charity didn't "win" this time around, the mere mention of it may cause others to think on it, donate or even spread the word - it is, after all, a time in the year for such things. I'll leave you with the opening statement from The Sigil as a reminder:

* * * * *

It's that time of year once more when many people are celebrating various festivities. For some, giving becomes a thought, forms into an idea, and evolves into a plan, then into action.
For a great deal of us of course, our thoughts turn to our loved ones - family, friends and absent friends - wherever they may be. It may be considered that an absent friend is simply someone you have not met as yet - perhaps someone you never will - because friendship is more than mere companionship.
At this time of year, some prefer to remember and aid the less fortunate in life - through charitable acts - the act of giving in the most humbling sense.

Thought is given form as an idea and becomes a plan, then an action.

For absent friends - those we miss, those we have not yet met, and those whom we never shall.

The Sigil.

One more time I'd like like to thank The Sigil and Chadjenofsky for their donations, Sachys for putting lots of effort in making this happen and for all the goglodytes for nominating so many worthy causes. It is nice to remember to cherish what we have. And it's good to help those in need.
Thanks to Sigil/Chadjenofsky for their generosity, and to the Chimp/Sigil team for coming up with this idea. Congrats to the winning charities.
It's been a wonderful giveaway and the gifts are not only great but super-important for those in need. I wish no one from this community will feel the need to visit a foodbank in the future, but it's just that sometimes you don't know what awaits you the next day you'll wake up.

That being said, i hope everyone who reads these lines will think about the people in need and help them in any way they can. Whether it is some food, clothes you may don't need them anymore, some money given to a charity (even if it's a small amount), anything you can do is important for those in need.

Oh, and don't forget to say a good word, a "good morning" and smile to... *HEY!!* Get of my lawn you son of a.... uh... good morning!

:P :D

Many thanks to Sigil & Chadjenofsky for their generosity and to Sachys for making all this a reality. :)
Thank you so much to The Sigil and Chadjenofsky for the generous donations and the thoughtfulness of the giveaway, and kudos to Sachys for organizing it all. :)
Thanks to Sachys, Chadjenofsky and the Sigil for their generosity towards charities. It was a pleasure to spread the word for important causes.
A wonderful endeavor by The Sigil and Sachys. Also, a special shout-out to Chadjenofsky for his very generous donation. Cheers to all those that participated!

It always wonderful to see the community giveback!
Wow, I am so thrilled for my charity to have won! Thanks to both The Sigil and Chadjenofsky for hosting this wonderful GA. I've added my own donation and hopefully can attend their January fundraising event. :-D

^ So much this! And even if one can't contribute that way, perhaps they can volunteer their time and smiles.

Big cheers all around, for the initiative, the generosity, and the participation.

Very happy to report that thanks to Momo1991, we were able to get the donation of $75.00 DOUBLED by a matching donation from a group of donors.

Attached is the receipt for the $75.00 donation to the Roadrunner Food Bank of New Mexico <Meep-meep!> (Sorry, I had to do it) on behalf of the GOG.com forum community.

Thank you again for the awesome idea by the Sigil, and the Big Ape AKA Sachys for the time and effort he put into organizing this giveaway of compassion.

Cheers to you all!

Nicely done mate! - and thanks in particular for matchfunding the GA in the first place (something GOG and GOG staff never responded upon!).

Now... I must play the magic piccolo and summon The Sigil to find out about things that their end...

(sadly not as dirty as it may sound!)
