I bought Star Wars: Battlefront 2 in 2015 and it was never refunded, despite an immediate request for one. It was sold without a CD key, so I ended up having to download it from somewhere else and use a keygen to play with my friends, since the GOG copy had been set up to make it very difficult to add a key. I spent 5 dollars, plus tax for it back then. By my calculations, you still owe me about $7.25. I've never bought a game on here since that happened, even though the platform seems otherwise pretty cool. I would like to petition, once again, that you return my 5 dollars (plus interest and tax) which you stole from me.
edit: clarified a mistake

More than a decade ago? Battlefront was released in 2019 here.

The jokes write themselves with this one...

well it was released in 2004 here. I'm not sure where you live that it took 15 years to get a localization

This is comedy gold.

I checked my email, and you are actually correct. My problem was with Star Wars: Battlefront 2, not 1.
also it appears I overstated the time; my problem occurred in 2015. So with tax + interest, it's actually more like 7.06, and I would be willing to accept $7.10.

You are 4 years off, GOG opened in 2008, not 2004, but that sucks anyways,

You mean the one that got released in 2015?

Just asking, because you claimed:

;)
Must have been a preorder, 3 years in advance.
2004 was the year Star Wars: Battlefront was originally released. GOG launched in 2008. Star Wars: Battlefront was available on GOG in 2015. Regardless, contact with support should have been done years ago, if this was a legitimate issue.

I think i have demonstrated that I am willing to clarify and admit when I have made a mistake - my recollection of the specific time was off by two years and some spare change, and I confused the first title in the series with the second one, to be sure. But my most recent post reflects a more accurate account of events. Don't you guys think that GOG should admit that they have made a mistake as well, and return my $7.10 (5 dollars + tax and interest).

I did so, several times! And they have repeatedly refused to return my five dollars (plus tax and interest).

You did not admit 'a' mistake, but keep sliding from one into the other.
How are they supposed to verify your claim if you keep changing your informations?

Just dig out the confirmation email for your order. I still have mine from 2011.

Anyway, you won't get anything from complaining on the forum, that's for sure. Support is the way to go. If that doesn't work out for you - too bad.

No, because you bought a product as advertised, then sat on it for years before you popped on looking not only for refund but compensation (interest) for your inaction.

You could have refunded this game immediately once you determined you had a problem with it. A refund of the original purchase price is the maximum anyone should ever expect for a faulty product.

Tackle the support bot or PM a blue staff member and submit your case. Give evidence of your order, the cost, and present your case. But on a personal note I can tell you, mate, you're going to have a tough time getting blood from that stone. And posting an argument here won't further your case because this is a community forum, not an official Support channel.

no, your description of events is inaccurate. Changing the OP from
"I bought Star Wars: Battlefront over a decade ago and it was never refunded"
to
I bought Star Wars: Battlefront 2 in 2015 (which is more than 8 years ago) and it was never refunded.
clarifies the issue quite succinctly. That's not sliding around from mistake to mistake. You're being disingenuous in response to an honest misrecollection.

My refund was requested within hours of installation. Also, it was not advertised as lacking a CD key.

And do you use Galaxy? As that is noted on the game's page as necessary for online MP?

Ever heard of something called "statute of limitations"?
