vv221: I follow closely the Diablo sub-forum. But I am only interested about Diablo 1 news in it, especially DevilutionX-related ones.
Anything related to modern-day DRM-lover Blizzard, like Diablo 4 or the Diablo 2 remaster, I do not care enough to even read about. I already know they won’t get my money anyway, and that I will not play these games.
Blizzard lost the ability to develop good games more than 15 years ago, so I do not feel the need to follow any news related to their current projects ;)

For stuff that's inevitably going to be DRM'd up to the eyeballs, people often won't post to say
"I'm not buying Diablo 4 because of DRM", because after always-online Diablo 3 it's virtually a given that Blizzard will find some way to turn it into a micro-transaction "cash cow" (which naturally goes hand in hand with DRM).
As for Diablo 2 classic, it would be nice if it were here but given the disc-check based DRM was removed in official patch v1.12 ages ago, many of us have long grabbed a disc version off of Ebay and have been playing it DRM-Free for years. And I'm perfectly happy with the
21 year old graphics. Mods already exist for stuff like larger stash space, and all that's really needed for half of these 20 year old Remasters is minor UI scaling tweaks for modern 1440p / 4k displays plus integration of widescreen patches (that modders have already done for free for the originals). But if the new D2 Remastered comes with DRM on top of a 700% price increase, then it's already dead to many of us without further comment.
Ok fair enough. I still think it's important to not have bad Diablo games made.

Only recent "blizzard" purchases have been the warcraft and diablo re-releases here @ gog
