JMich: Question, was any Greek that served in the army during the 67-74 period a fascist or a junta supporter? Mandatory military service under an oppressive/hostile government.
Hardly comparable quantities, the junta and the Wehrmacht, since one was a single country occupation and the other was an invading army, but I'll humor you:
Yes, anyone who SERVED in the military without ACTIVELY sabotaging the junta was a passive supporter. There's no such thing as a bystander in these cases. You either do, or you're a fucking coward. And cowards are great fuel for a junta to grow roots.
I do have an uncle that served in the army during the junta. And he served Papadopoulos his food. He could have poisoned the shit out of that bastard but he didn't. I don't like that uncle much. No one does.
