Yes, because she was a German in Nazi Germany and a pilot for the Luftwaffe. Big fucking deal. That doesn't automatically make you a Nazi. She was a pilot for the aircraft ferry unit, that's essentially a taxi service for planes.

Also being a member of a military unit isn't the same as being a sunscriber to a political doctrine. Just as any US soldier doesn't necessarily agree with US politics. Unless you believe everything to be black and white with no gray, of course.

Sadly, the world isn't though...
