I wonder if someone was able to identify the image in the background in this tweet... is from one of the novels? Official art? Fan art? A completely new thing?
I searched for some time and all I was able to found was a reply in this same tweet: "In the backround I see Grzegorz Wróblewski art, I think. The same style"

Looks to me like it might be some concept art. Maybe something for the tv show. So likely not going to be able to find it anywhere.
The Witcher tv-series is a Netflix Original? If so that's awesome news I thought I was about to miss out or had to resort to other means to be able to watch it.
Does anyone know if the adaptation will start with The Last Wish or will it start directly from Blood of Elves?

There's no official word, but I'd assume the first season to be based on the short stories. For one thing, they are really important in setting up the saga (and are superior to it in my opinion) and for another the first season is supposed to be something of a test run, the second season getting a much higher budget if it gets a green light, and the short stories make much more sense for such a mid budget test run.

That's assuming they actually aim to adapt the source material as it is rather then just come up with their own stuff and screw the books with a red hot poker.

Anyway, knowing Netflix series, it'll probably be about six episodes too long and drawn out to the point of inducing coma.

I hope that Netflix adapts the books instead of making an original story.
I would resub to Netflix for the Witcher, unless it turns into a political mess like The Punisher did. I'm all about exposing government and making the world a better place, but god damn, The Punisher was depressing af.

Yeah, more likely.

Oh man I really hope you'll be wrong since they wanted to make it the new GoT so I expect they'll be smarter, learn from past errors and created something of that quality.
