Hello gog community

So let me tell a little story.
I normaly use steam and i bought Prison architect by g2a all worked fine but a week after i bought it my key got locked for some reason so i asked the Seller for a refund and got it. So i got my money back and thought i just buy another key but the keys on g2a were just 10cents to expencive so i bought a "GOG" key,

This is how i endet up here, now i found out that you dont get steam keys here... Silly me
But since i want the steam workshop support and update stuff i want a steam key
So now i am sitting here with the game that i "can" not use

My question now is:

As i bought the gog "key" i reddemed it on the website can i somehow sell the game aka. get a gift for the game so i can sell the key and get a steam key ?
no
if you downloaded the game you are sol

if you havent downloaded the game you may get a refund but g2a are not authorized resellers
so you are probably sol anyway
You can only refund it. And only if it's not working (after you discuss it with support) or if you haven't downloaded the game at all.
Ok thanks for the quick help...

I will wirte to the support team

Hopefully i will get a refund

Thx for the fast help

if i read it correctly you first bought a Steam key at G2A it got revoked and then refunded

and then afterwards you bought a GOG Key but also at G2A and not directly at GOG.com or?

If that's the case the G2A seller would have to refund the Key (which he wont ^^) and it has nothing to do with GOG as you didnt buy the Key at GOG.com and they dont have any relations with G2A
Not quit right

I have the game. and its working

BUT

I want a steam key and i havent done enought research on "GOG" to knew that you dont get steam keys here.

Now i wanted to knew i can refund the game from gog (When i bought the g2a "Key" for gog i got a "Key" that you could redem.) So i wanted to knew i can give the game back and get a "Key" for it so i can sell it and can get a steam key

Also i never had a problem with g2a bought like 10 games this is the first one i have a problem with

You can't. To refund a gift code, both the gifter and the giftee must ask support for the key to be refunded, and the gifter (that is the seller) will get the refund. Add to that the fact that GOG doesn't allow gift keys to be sold, and your chances of getting a refund are non existent.

P.S. While you may not have had any issues with G2A so far, be aware that G2A is a marketplace, so (especially for GOG keys) you are not buying from G2A but from sellers who you have no way of identifying. So it is basically a back alley deal, with all the problems that has.

If you didn't download any files yet, you can try to tell support that redeeming the code was a mistake and ask them whether they're accommodating enough to turn the untouched game into a key again. But I wouldn't get my hopes up, since you're not the one who bought the key from GOG, and they have no obligation whatsoever to grant your request.

Think about it, if you redeem a Steam key bought from G2A and then ask the Steam support to turn the game into a key again, do you think they would do it?

They might chuck him out of the forum for asking about it.
