Did anyone here happen to get Theater of War 2: Africa 1943 when Indiegala gave it away a few months back?

I got the other Theater of War 2 game and dlcs... but missed that one. Sucks, this is the only time I've known them to be sold or given away DRM free.
freebies.indiegala.com

Syberia 1 and 2 are drm free to grab among a list of many other games.

Dogmaus: Meh, Sunless Sea, had already been given on GOG (with a minimum amount of purchases maybe) . I'm really bad at it, I just keep dying with low carburant, food or attacked by monsters towards the beginning. I wish it had an easy mode because it's pretty.
You can make it more to your liking if you edit some file(s). I played the game just a bit some years ago and did the same thing following this guide. It's quite simple and most constants are self-explanatory. Make some backup for the files first and try it.

I passed on that one because I'm sure it's not something I'd ever play

forkakova: to fit with the OP, i want to say i find the Epic giveways IN-CRE-DI-Ble.
I already have a full library and I do not take ALL the games given.
furtermore the games made by Unreal engine are always the shinniest, the more beautifull and immersiv games.
well it is hard to not agree to such a statement, even if you belong to the group that this is about mindcontrol and china and who know what else.... ( look pal, at some point you will loose your epic games, i mean imagine what will happen if epic decides to hide everything behind a pay wall and you haven't payed for any of those so called free games, or ... they will be only made available if you can prove you have some origin in china in your family's bloodline ,, know what i mean ? )

Still i passed on Rage 2, it is a game i would never consider buying, only it if is a part of a bundle and even then i would give the key away!

that said, any new fanatikal bundles ????

Until recently, for the last month or so, IndIeGala have mostly been giving away repeat freebies, so hang in there as I haven't seen that one yet, but have seen a few others in the series be repeated.

If you are prepared to pay for a DRM-Free copy, then my memory says that the ZOOM Platform had the series for sale.

Quite a few freebies at IndieGala (or have been) are available at the ZOOM Platform to buy, DRM-Free.

Thanks!

Yeah, have the whole "series" on Steam but really wanted them DRM free. Thought the current Indiegala freebies were the entire series... but just off by Africa 1943. Anyway...

Appreciate the info... and will check out Zoom!

Alas it seems they only have the following two right now.

The Humble sale is a good time to get Monkey Island for $1, which I've heard good things about.

I grew up with it and I can't stand the remake. I'd get it if they give us the classic edition. You can't even choose subs in a language different than English if you keep the dub. The new graphics make me cringe. No Japanese...Easy pass for me.

I tried EPIC's freebie Solitairtica. Too casual of a card game for me. Too random and grindy. I endured a few rounds listening to some YouTube video but that's it. Time to sink in Darkest Dungeon waiting for the definitive edition of DIsco Elysium (I think I'm going to like it).

But you can legally extract the original files and build the Ultimate Talkie Edition, which has become my favorite way to play Monkey Island 1.

So they could sell it like that, I would feel ripped off having to spend too much money on a product I despise to tinker until I get something decent out of it. A game from 1990 should not cost that much, and I don't like to give money to Disney. Also, I don't even like the voices. Guybrush sounds too old compared to what I have always imagined.
I would like moral damages compensation for the sheer fact that they made those new ugly graphics. They don't even match the realistic style of the old face close ups during some dialogues (but I fear they have remade those as well) and the beautiful classic covers (that I had printed on canvas).
Also I think I should mention that Play at Home is returning - https://blog.playstation.com/2021/02/23/play-at-home-returns-four-months-of-offers-for-playstation-games-and-entertainment-begin-march-1/

4 months of free games and entertainment

First game is Ratchet and Clank (going free today or tomorrow)
and first offer is extended access to Funimation (anime-focused subscription service) for existing customers only on March 25

It continues till June.

What would you guys like to see being offered free?

I just checked to see where I have it, and apparently I have a gog copy. Is gog's the original or the remake?

Yep. Play at Home is for PlayStation only. Also, Ratchet and Clank is an exclusive so....
