nightcraw1er.488: Well, I have started to go through my 25+ years of collecting physical copy games. The idea being to remove all duplicates across platforms, drop those where I have a digital copy, basically just major downsize it. Currently this is 80 360 games, 40 ps3, 300 pc games (dvd, cds, boxed), and counting. Its hard though, to let go of these, especially the boxed ones, but they do take up a room on their own. Anyone else done this, any tricks to numb the pain?

mrkgnao: If relevant, do what I did: get your wife to do it for you.
Depending on the wife, this is potentially marriage-breaking.
Might be wise to keep those old games because they are unique in the sense that you actually 'own' them.

These days you don't own games, you are 'licensed' for them. It may technically be the same for the older games as well, but since you can sell those older games at any time without any hindrance or any kind of online notification, i consider that as the sign of real ownership.

nightcraw1er.488: Yes, ebay seems likely. Craigslist, isn't that some hook up network or something?
There is some of that, but it's not really the main gist of the site:

http://london.craigslist.co.uk/

However you thin the herd, I feel your pain. Never easy scaling back on a long-term hobby, even if it's stuff you know you'll never use again.

Why? It seems to me to be a win-win situation.
I got rid of games I no longer needed. She got rid of games she always thought I never needed.
I didn't have to do the hard, months-long, work of listing them on eBay and mailing them out. She didn't mind.
And we both enjoyed the extra income.

Emachine9643: I'm willing to buy if your willing to ship! Interested in the 360 games and PC games! How about consoles?
Thanks, I haven't quite finished, but I will probably just set as collection only. POst is a real pain and would be very expensive.

Ha! Nice reply. Might try that.

Can't... give them... up...

Nocturne... No! Noooooooooo!!!

Wait, if I got rid of the jewel cases, it would be smaller. Right?

But I like my cases...

That was a previous downsize, any loose jewel cased, or re-release DVD case (bestsellers etc.) got the cd pulled out and put into a large CD wallet/bag. Got about 150 of those!

Anyways, I think I will keep the boxed ones, too much to lose, those nice cloth maps, manuals which make good bludgeoning weapons etc.
