UPDATE 2:

While the release is currently planned for later today (October 2nd, 2024), codes to redeem Nymphomaniac - Sex Addict will be sent tomorrow (October 3rd, 2024) at our earliest convenience.

Please don't be alarmed when you don't receive it immediately upon release; we apologize if this causes any inconvenience.

I've got some news for people who own PARANOID (https://www.gog.com/game/paranoid) on GOG!

Madmind Studio will soon be releasing its latest title – Nymphomaniac - Sex Addict (https://www.gog.com/game/nymphomaniac_sex_addict).

Everyone who already owns PARANOID and has their Marketing Consent on GOG turned on will receive a redeem code for Nymphomaniac - Sex Addict :)

There are two important things to note here:

1. If you own PARANOID and would like to receive that redeem code, please make sure that your Marketing Consent is on. Otherwise, we won't be able to send you the email.

2. Nymphomaniac - Sex Addict is under regional restriction in both Germany and China. However, if you are based in those countries and own PARANOID, we'll send you an email with a personal verification code that will make you eligible for a compensation gift from Madmind Studio (Marketing Consent is also necessary here).

Because just yesterday I received an "our sale is ending" spam mail from you guys.

DESPITE me being UNSUBSCRIBED from ALL notifications.

Yes - NO consent given - and yet, email received.

And yes - I checked, whether I had forgotten to unsubscribe after the last freebie...nope, I didn't.
ALL boxes were (and still are) unchecked.

I was one of those who always tried to defend you, when others blamed you for just about everything.
Those times are over.

You get a code from gog via mail, that you have to send to Madmind Studios to redeem a copy of the game for Madmind's own store...which is a pretty shitty compensation.
Thanks for fucking nothing, gog.

I'd rather have a refund for the horrible Paranoid.

UPDATE:

The release won't happen today (September 11th) but at a later date. However, the aforementioned promotion is still on, the emails will be sent with the release of Nymphomaniac.

And is the same true about the sharing of data with Google? How do we know if data is shared with Google even if all the relevant checkboxes are deselected?

I'm not affected by this, but why is enabling Marketing Consent a requirement for this? Shouldn't it be a legal transactional email anyway, since it is a compensation offer for purchased goods not being delivered on time?

Hey SmashManiac! This is a promotional offer, hence the need for marketing consent. The delay of the release is in no way connected to the offer :)

Why not just auto add the title to the accounts?

The only reason for a code seems a shifty way to get marketing numbers up. Perhaps im just being PARANOID...ok the last part is a bad joke ;)
