Big changes are here.

My Account is the heart of your GOG.com experience. It's the one place that's 100% yours, and the place you always go to download your games and manage the entire library.
Starting today, your My Account is completely new - remade and redesigned from scratch to better support our growing library of games and many of your biggest requests. Aside from every usability fix we could think of, we've also introduced brand new tools to keep your library organised, and new social features to stay in touch with your friends.

The list of new features is long, but you can see the whole thing on our forums. The most important highlights include:

--Support for friends lists and chat.
--Shared wishlists.
--Advanced filtering and custom tags for your library.
--A new, detailed order history.
--Accessible game changelogs.

We're sure that these new changes will greatly improve your overall user experience on GOG.com, and we can't wait to hear what you think on the wishlist and right here in the comments!
Guys, where can I find the changelogs?

tinyE: Can we get a tab on there that tells me how good looking I am?
Not completely sure but I think some blue wrote about it, wasn't that a feature planned for the revamp of the frontpage?

Well, I need to keep in mind this is just Beta. They are still working on it.

Trilarion: What I would like is custom tagging of the games in my library and then filtering on the cloud of custom tags.

For example I use this to mark games as interesting, as already finished, .... and quickly filter for them.

Maybe one could offer a few smartly chosen pre-defined tags but make the whole system extendable for customly defined tags.

Predefined tags could be: OSs, Release-Year, Finished, To Be Played Soon, ...
avatar
MasodikTiasma: You can create custom tags under "orders & settings", "tags"

(post edited for spelling) (and again... I wrote "tats")
So far the tab feature and order history overview are the only things new that are worthwhile imo.The rest of the new stuff, at least at first glance, seems a bit user unfriendly and a bit of a downgrade.Uncertain about the chat thingy. No experience with that yet.But the pm system seemed fine.Maybe that chat thing has been implemented because of Galaxy? Then Galaxy would already be impeding on Classic Gog.

Cool, I like the changes so far!
There are new interesting features. : )

Some comments or problems:
- no mass tagging is possible. Can you add a selection column?
- fix default game ordering, improve tags\filters and extend them to all catalog
- can you add different filters for sent\received gifts?
- my orders\gifts older than 09\2014 are shown as (PAID WITH Free Order), but I bought them instead!
- the new shelf is a bit.. cold. Textual info was needed, but the original box covers were better.
- the list counter seems still a bit slow. Can you add an option\button to enable\disable it on the fly?
- add a "total spent" counter too?
- what is the blue dot in the game list? Filter for it?
- the community menu needs submenus to directly access the wishlists\subforum sections.
- why did you join Orders&Settings in the same section?
- Fix the carriage return \ new line problem of some forms.

Awaiting next changes!

HypersomniacLive: @GOG
You know what would greatly improve my user experience? If you did something about the servers strain, so that I stopped getting 'Error 500" pages followed by Theodore before a page actually displayed.
Did you really not expect that everyone would be tinkering around the new account system?

avatar
MasodikTiasma: OCD remarks aside, I don't see where the gifts are stored? Previously you could access all your yet unredeemed gift codes. Maybe it will be added again later, just private messages...
avatar
HypersomniacLive: No, it's mixed up with everything else in a big fat pile in that "Orders history" - games you purchased, freebies from GOG, codes from bundles, etc.

You know have to hide everything else by unticking everything that doesn't fall under "Unredeemed Gifts" to see them.
i assume that things that have keys or codes wont be shown to anyone.
gamersgate has a buy history sicne the beginning i guess, these are not visible for anyone except the user him/herself and ofcourse the staff of the site, no one else can see these, so i dont mind the buy history to be added as long as noone can see it publicly.

as for things: i assume that all things can be disbaled per part so that you can choose what to show or to hide, or just hide everything completely.

on gg i have hidden all completeley, and lots of other use have also hidden their profiles from public.

just logged in and saw the announcement,
i will go and see what has changed :D
Ah, it is such a stupid thing to complain about, but why did they break up the game shelf? Scrolling down the game list and having it terminate halfway through is kind of annoying. And I am worried that will make my backlog worse because I won't bother/remember to check page 2.
The messages thing is officially gone too. So I guess no GAs unless we have Galaxy. :P

The blue dot indicates that the game was updated :)
Do we still get updates notifications in the main page menu bar (with a number next to Account) and can we still filter the game list to show only the updated titles under the new system?
I wanted to refresh my account today, but the link I've been using for this now gives me 404. What is the correct link now?
cool, i like it. :)
https://www.gog.com/u/P1na/wishlist gives a 404
"Accessible game changelogs"

Anybody know how?

Ah, I see, thanks Judas.

It's also used for when you have a new game on your shelf :) So it's basically the NEW/UPDATED indicator :)
