Big changes are here.

My Account is the heart of your GOG.com experience. It's the one place that's 100% yours, and the place you always go to download your games and manage the entire library.
Starting today, your My Account is completely new - remade and redesigned from scratch to better support our growing library of games and many of your biggest requests. Aside from every usability fix we could think of, we've also introduced brand new tools to keep your library organised, and new social features to stay in touch with your friends.

The list of new features is long, but you can see the whole thing on our forums. The most important highlights include:

--Support for friends lists and chat.
--Shared wishlists.
--Advanced filtering and custom tags for your library.
--A new, detailed order history.
--Accessible game changelogs.

We're sure that these new changes will greatly improve your overall user experience on GOG.com, and we can't wait to hear what you think on the wishlist and right here in the comments!
Hey - now I can see how much I've spent on GOG? ...On the other hand maybe better not to know :-P
Like the new changes, they look good at a first glance.

Will add a more detailed review when I get a chance to sit down and see everything.

Part of the "New Account" I like but most of what you have done I hate. Please, please, please make an option were we can have the account look like the old account. This? *shakes head*

Blakes7: This new account system is in a word clunky.

I would prefer game boxes and to have all my games on the one page. Also it is not intuitive to navigate out of the game downloads area once you have clicked on a game. A back button or a small x to close the download area would help.

ALH: Agreed.

Btw where are the gift games/codes?
Under the Order & Settings tab you have a drop-down menu that lets you see your gift keys.

Are we supposed to act all excited for this change? Because I know I'm not. We now have cold store game icons instead of the warm and cozy library style icons from before. I've had to unhide previously hidden games to see the correct count of games on my shelf -and the "show hidden games" option is, well, somewhat hidden (thankfully I use a game cataloging software so I know all the games I own). Since I'm here I might as well suggest that you (I mean GOG) should show the count of all games, whether they're hidden or not.
On another note, tags seem to be somewhat helpful -I used to hide completed games, now I can use the "completed" tag at least, and order history is a nice plus. But those are all the positives I can find in the new system. I switched from grid to list view because grid view was not only less pretty than the previous one, but also pretty unwieldy. All my PMs have disappeared -not that I miss them, but, seriously, where have they gone? My guess is they escaped not wanting to bear the uglily designed new account system.
Anyways, I haven't tried downloading stuff yet - hope that function will still work and will not have become unwieldy too, because some GOG employee or something (who's probably in reality an extraterrestrial agent from the planet DRM to ensure GOG's failure or something...) has a bizarre sense of taste and functionality! Oh well... :-(

P.S. Btw, since I'm here I might as well comment on this:

Now with these changes it's not 100% "mine" anymore-it's mine only in the sense I paid for most of my games, but otherwise my account just doesn't feel "mine" anymore; it feels like yet another cold storefront...

Found at least one bug. Searching by genre in RPGs doesn't display all of the RPGs in my collection.
Thank you so much GOG!

This looks stellar (Galaxy pun intended)
All the functions I wanted to see in my shelves have been included.
Thank you for the hard work to your devs. and of course all the users that gave you suggestions on how to improve them.

Thanks again.

20 pages of order history.... how rich I could have been...
Can we get a tab on there that tells me how good looking I am?
I like this kind of good news:)
Thanks GOG

And notification icon is still grey?

InkPanther: Most importantly, an empty space is finally gone!
Yes! For me too! It was driving me crazy.... :-)
I like the new playground
Oohhh, spent way to much
OCD remarks aside, I don't see where the gifts are stored? Previously you could access all your yet unredeemed gift codes. Maybe it will be added again later, just private messages...

Nevermind, found it, its in orders history, you have to click on the the arrow next to "orders history" and deselect everything except redeemed and unredeemed gifts. Still, that's really unpractical, could you add a separate gifts tab, like before?

No further complain about the new desing and features. It looked like Galaxy was going to be a Steam clone, but now I am starting to appreciate it better!
