Big changes are here.

My Account is the heart of your GOG.com experience. It's the one place that's 100% yours, and the place you always go to download your games and manage the entire library.
Starting today, your My Account is completely new - remade and redesigned from scratch to better support our growing library of games and many of your biggest requests. Aside from every usability fix we could think of, we've also introduced brand new tools to keep your library organised, and new social features to stay in touch with your friends.

The list of new features is long, but you can see the whole thing on our forums. The most important highlights include:

--Support for friends lists and chat.
--Shared wishlists.
--Advanced filtering and custom tags for your library.
--A new, detailed order history.
--Accessible game changelogs.

We're sure that these new changes will greatly improve your overall user experience on GOG.com, and we can't wait to hear what you think on the wishlist and right here in the comments!
Very good design! I really like it. Now there's a convenient link to the game card and forum, that's just neat. :)
Oh some changes... I guess some people will be complaining.... It will take some time for me to get adjusted with my library... 67 titles, my shelves are still clogged :) I liked the old darker background a bit more than the current one.
Anyway, thanks GOG.com team for the improvements and for trying to please millions of people! (well, I hope that there is at least a million accounts on gog.com)

Breja: Oh for f*@! sake. I thought all this social shit will only be on Galaxy. If I wanted any of that, I'd be using Galaxy. I'm not. Do the math.
You honestly thought that? Information that this was coming has been floating around for months... this honestly has little to do with 'Galaxy also.

Breja: Also, what was wrong with my game shelf looking like a shelf, with nice covers of games on it? And with my wishlist looking like a list? Now everything looks like all the pages in store catalogue. How is that an improvement? It's just a change for change's sake, and it makes everything more boring, unofrm and ugly.
Well that is your opinion of course, not everyone will agree. :P

I'll obviously be experimenting with the custom tags as that's something that I've wanted forever but is any work going to be done to the in-built 'genre' tags because they're a bit inconsistent at the moment - I just filtered for 'racing' and VR Soccer and Sensible Soccer were included!

This has always been an issue though - nothing new!

WHAT HAPPENED TO MY SHELVES, BRING THEM BACK!!!!
Loving it already, thanks for the hard work GOG :)
I like (or at least don't mind) the changes to the account system, but it seems that the §"Messages" tab is gone from my menu and that my messages have been wiped (going to the link manually displays a message "you have no conversations".

This would be quite painful since I need the messages sent to me in the last week in order to do something for the GOG Blood Bowl League.

Is this an oversight, will it be fixed?

Smannesman: Great, the awful library design from Galaxy has now come to the site as well.
And the 'Friends' section is pretty useless since users don't have profiles and it's impossible to search the forums for users.
On that note, a 'Why should you add me as a friend?' section in the invite would be great.
Now I just get a little avatar picture with the very helpful 'User since' popup, just 'User since' not even a year.
Click on (or hover over?) the "user since" and you'll get a year and month. But if someone is in your friends list, you instead get "friend since" rather than both dates, which is a little annoying.

I liked it better when the collection actually looked like a shelf with game boxes. Now it's a boring grid.

They will be imported to the chat system, it's just not done yet.

Is there any chance you could add the option to allow us to view our entire collection on one page like before?

Agreed. If I remember correctly though, they will add a few more designs later.

Yes, they're working on importing messages to new system. http://www.gog.com/forum/general/my_account_big_changes_on_the_horizon/post297/?staff=yes

Well that's the kind of design decisions I've learned to expect from GOG.
