Big changes are here.

My Account is the heart of your GOG.com experience. It's the one place that's 100% yours, and the place you always go to download your games and manage the entire library.
Starting today, your My Account is completely new - remade and redesigned from scratch to better support our growing library of games and many of your biggest requests. Aside from every usability fix we could think of, we've also introduced brand new tools to keep your library organised, and new social features to stay in touch with your friends.

The list of new features is long, but you can see the whole thing on our forums. The most important highlights include:

--Support for friends lists and chat.
--Shared wishlists.
--Advanced filtering and custom tags for your library.
--A new, detailed order history.
--Accessible game changelogs.

We're sure that these new changes will greatly improve your overall user experience on GOG.com, and we can't wait to hear what you think on the wishlist and right here in the comments!
looking good, thanks

GOG.com: --Support for friends lists and chat. (PM history not yet imported to new chat system)
--Advanced filtering and custom tags for your library. (Manual Sorting option removed)
This is what I think you should be clear and let people know about in this official announcement.

Apart from that the most positive change for me is the detailed order history section, really well done and informative as well as easy to find proof of purchase now incase of any problems. Though there are a few small issues I have with some games that I purchased that show as Free Orders.

Great, the awful library design from Galaxy has now come to the site as well.
And the 'Friends' section is pretty useless since users don't have profiles and it's impossible to search the forums for users.
On that note, a 'Why should you add me as a friend?' section in the invite would be great.
Now I just get a little avatar picture with the very helpful 'User since' popup, just 'User since' not even a year.
Couple of observations from me:

--Support for friends lists and chat.
--Shared wishlists.
Both cool, and shared wishlists were on a wishlist for a long time.
(Edit: weird, italics tag is not processed correctly?)

--Advanced filtering and custom tags for your library.
That's OK, may be handy. I'm not sure if it's enough to replace manual sorting but I didn't use it anyway, so no complaints from me.

--A new, detailed order history.
It's a great and long awaited addition. Awesome.

--Accessible game changelogs.
Couldn't find even one for now. ;)

The shelf itself is OK-ish, but I'm not a fan of so many dropdown menus. However, most of the time I use it only for downloading so it's not a big deal I guess. Overall it just looks like a refresh/reskin of previous look.

Most importantly, an empty space is finally gone!

mattymuc: Thank you! It's good that the downloader links are still available.
Nice! I was looking for that myself. It's good that the downloader is still supported, mainly for the 'Download All' feature, but for how long it remains to be seen.
I wouldn't expect them to support two download managers for long.

You can no longer manually re-arrange games in the library? :(
I just had a look around and experimented a bit with the tags, but so far it looks good. I prefer this design over the old account's design. Well done! :)

I'm disappointed with the absence of manual sorting. Tags and filters will never give the same ability to sort games by preference.
Forced pagination is not helping either as it is now impossible to look at all owned games.

Also it is better to return the wooden background. Current shelves look like nailed to air.
Liking the changes so far but I do have 2 questions.

1) Before the upgrade, I had 2 games hidden but I can't find the option to unhide them, anyone mind telling me where the option is? Not that I really care about having them back because Teen Agent and KKND2 were crap anyways.

2) If there much point in having the title of the game right below the picture as the picture includes the title anyways. Just seems somewhat redundant.

Oh for f*@! sake. I thought all this social shit will only be on Galaxy. If I wanted any of that, I'd be using Galaxy. I'm not. Do the math.

Also, what was wrong with my game shelf looking like a shelf, with nice covers of games on it? And with my wishlist looking like a list? Now everything looks like all the pages in store catalogue. How is that an improvement? It's just a change for change's sake, and it makes everything more boring, uniform and ugly.

Excellent! Thank you, GOG.com!

GOG.com: --Advanced filtering
Doesn't work properly, at least for me : When I sort by genre, there are missing games (like Pillars of Eternity and the Avernum games in the "RPG" listing)

I'll send a support ticket

In My collection (#number) dropdown menu select hidden, and then in another dropdown menu of the selected game unhide game.

If you want to see what games are hidden you have to click on the 'my collection'-button in the top left corner. Right under the search field. If you want to make them permanently visible again, you have to hover over the game and click on the arrow that appears in the bottoem right corner. Then click 'unhide game'. Hope you understand what I am trying to say. Otherwise just ask again and I will rephrase my answer :)
