Big changes are here.

My Account is the heart of your GOG.com experience. It's the one place that's 100% yours, and the place you always go to download your games and manage the entire library.
Starting today, your My Account is completely new - remade and redesigned from scratch to better support our growing library of games and many of your biggest requests. Aside from every usability fix we could think of, we've also introduced brand new tools to keep your library organised, and new social features to stay in touch with your friends.

The list of new features is long, but you can see the whole thing on our forums. The most important highlights include:

--Support for friends lists and chat.
--Shared wishlists.
--Advanced filtering and custom tags for your library.
--A new, detailed order history.
--Accessible game changelogs.

We're sure that these new changes will greatly improve your overall user experience on GOG.com, and we can't wait to hear what you think on the wishlist and right here in the comments!

Ravenvolf: Where is the gift section now? I have a few games I'm planning to give to my brother but I cannot find where my extra games are now.
Orders & Settings / Orders History.

JudasIscariot: No, but that's why we have the changelog feature for developer updates to games [...]
avatar
HypersomniacLive: What about those games that won't get a changelog? Chamb made it clear that only the most popular and newer games will have changelogs.

avatar
JudasIscariot: [...] and our own updates such as whenever we add a bonus item or two to a given game :)

[...]
avatar
HypersomniacLive: How will we know about these?

avatar
JudasIscariot: [...]

Are you referring to the number of updates?
avatar
HypersomniacLive: Yes.
If we have a changelog, we'll add one as it's rather rare that we don't get one, thankfully. If we update the installers for whatever reason and we flag your account then we'll add in a changelog of sorts as well, if it's not a minor installer update (images or changes to installers overall such as adding Galaxy-import capability as we've been doing so for the last few days or so.)

Any updates to bonus items will also be listed in the changelog along with a date they were added.

So far I am seeing something like this:

"My Collection (897, 92 updated)" in My Account. Basically, you see your game count and you see how many games were updated
Miss the old PC boxes :(

JudasIscariot: It's also used for when you have a new game on your shelf :) So it's basically the NEW/UPDATED indicator :)
This is definitely not an improvement. A blue dot that covers just about every change to our game collection?

I understand that you guys prefer to keep things simple from your side, but that's going too far.

BreOl72: -Look at the screenies attached...there is a patch and a language pack in the "Downloader Links", yes?
-So, why doesn't my download folder show the patch and the language pack, after downloading?
It seems they don't even exist, in the first place.

ALH: Orders & Settings / Orders History.
Thanks, I see now. You have to filter your order history to unredeemed gifts. Thanks for that.
The "Under €8" filter in the wishlist shows games that are €9.49. "Under €15" shows games that are €18.89.

I'm asking about the account tab on he nave bar, not inside my account.

It's a remnant from the days when the € was stronger. If you change it to USD, it displays them correctly (under $10 and under $20, respectively).

That should still be working as it was before. Unfortunately, I don't have any game updates atm to show you that it does.
Help, i cant find my gifts annywhere.
or at least cant locate where they are
on this new account system.
Looks absolutely amazing, keep it up GOG :)

Go to Orders & Settings :)

jalister: I can't believe game boxes are gone. ...

Trilarion: I liked them too and would like to have them back. I guess the more people complain, the higher the chance that they come back.
I'm not optimistic. People complained about the look of the new site, and nothing changed. People complained about the performance of the site on smartphones. To this day the site is still slow on my phone.

I had no issue with GOG selling new games or movies. I don't have a problem with Galaxy since it's optional. But it seems like so many design choices that have been made just completely alienate the feel of what GOG used to be.

Yeah, seems so...which arises the question, why they are listed under the "Downloader Links".
Seems very strange to me.
