Big changes are here.

My Account is the heart of your GOG.com experience. It's the one place that's 100% yours, and the place you always go to download your games and manage the entire library.
Starting today, your My Account is completely new - remade and redesigned from scratch to better support our growing library of games and many of your biggest requests. Aside from every usability fix we could think of, we've also introduced brand new tools to keep your library organised, and new social features to stay in touch with your friends.

The list of new features is long, but you can see the whole thing on our forums. The most important highlights include:

--Support for friends lists and chat.
--Shared wishlists.
--Advanced filtering and custom tags for your library.
--A new, detailed order history.
--Accessible game changelogs.

We're sure that these new changes will greatly improve your overall user experience on GOG.com, and we can't wait to hear what you think on the wishlist and right here in the comments!

The new game shelves are BY FAR not as cool as the former design. I really ADORED the whole wooden gamebox-on-a-bookshelf feel of the previous list. It was fun, great-looking, a pleasure in itself, and also very in tone with good-old-game-ism. The new design is just functionnal.

Edit :

Oh, also all the message history with the non-"friends" is gone. Sweet.

Right now it is just meh, a few exemples.

I want my game series in chronological order. It's a mess. It is a mixture between english and german and broken.

Baldurs Gate II: Das Epos is before Baldur's Gate: Die Saga

The Broken Sword games are in this order:
Baphomets Fluch II: Die Spiegel der Finsternis (Broken Sword 2)
Baphomets Fluch: Der Engel des Todes (Broken Sword 4
Baphomets Fluch: Der Schlafende Drache (Broken Sword 3)
Baphomets Fluch: The Director's Cut (Broken Sword 1)
15 games later I finally find
Broken Sword 5 - The Serpent's Curse still english

Beyond Divinity is far away from Divinity 2 or Divine Divinity

Realms of Arkania Shadows over Riva is german and "Das Schwarze Auge: Schatten über Riva" Blade of Destiny and Startrail are still english.

It is a mess. Please fix the game titles! English or german, not a mix and please use numbers!

Goran84: Thanks GOG! It's really nice but would you please add the option for game boxes ?!
i assume you mean the boxes as they look on retail games ? with a 'dimension' or a flat image?

see attachment

dont forget the more graphic used the heavier the load will be compared to a minimum flat design where shapes are used.

But why is the rum gone?!

Grargar: Click the "collection" and select "hidden" (see image below). Then, click the game, click "More" and "Unhide Game".
Thank you!

Fixed that for you. The only message history that is currently retained is from the chats.
I would like to get the boxart back as well. Maybe as alternative images replacing the current ones above the text Name.
Shared wishlists are the best thing so far! But I really miss the manual order and the old look. Hopefully you'll bring back the order, at least.
Friend management seems to be broken for me right now. There's no way to do anything with the pending requests I have.

jalister: I can't believe game boxes are gone. ...
I liked them too and would like to have them back. I guess the more people complain, the higher the chance that they come back.

Maybe they actually also planned this and just delayed it to later when they want to offer different designs.

yes you said the magic word: functional

these days all is and has to be functional, old skoll design is gone, and according to the many dev on the net the flat design will never be gone, it might be used a bit less but it is here to stay.

mobile first desktop later...
steams library is awfull, its black, its slow and its unreadable, the brightness of my screen has to be almost open
every part looks the same at first sight.

So even if the gog account part stays functional, (no good old shelves (i love the old shelves) for the sake of modern look and speed)the layout will still be far better then the black steam site, and client.
Black layouts should be avoid, cause it takes alot of effort to make a good usable black layout, steams layout is a mess.

ALH: "Accessible game changelogs"

Anybody know how?

JudasIscariot: Go to a game, click "More" and you'll see a "Changelog" menu choice if a given game has one :)

If you have Broken Age or Shadow Warrior 2013, you should see an example :)
That's odd I have Shadow Warrior 2013 and no Changelog under the more menu that I can find.

I guess the load is not a big problem. After all they had boxes right from the beginning in 2009, hadn't they?

Had a similar problem, but I refreshed the page and it worked.
