I don't like the changes in the shelf.
I prefered the boxes visualistaion on the shelf instead of "tales" or whatever it is now. It was oldschool and matched the gog profile.
Also I don't like that the shelf takes 4 pages now, that I have to click through instead of having one long shelf (or list - whatever).

Since themes are completely different from the old library, they haven't yet been added, I remember someone saying a few will be added later though.

Love the extra functionality, but I wish I could have all my games displayed on one page like I used to be able to.

Negative points first:

- GOG, would you please get your alphabetisation right or give us the manual sorting back. It's almost impossible to find certain games when there aren't exact rules about how you handle the game titles (sometimes it's The game title, the next time it's game title, The).

- Please also give us an option to keep the game series together and in order of release. Taking Blackwell games for example the order at the moment is Blackwell Convergence (part three), Blackwell Deception (part four), Blackwell Epiphany, The (part 5), Blackwell Unbound (part two) and The Blackwell Legacy (part 1) is somewhere else on the shelf (because of The). How exactly does that make sense???

- About the pagination: I hate it!!! I can understand that it is nice for some people with large collections and slow or unstable internet connection or with old computers. But please give us a choice. When you said that the default setting will be 100 games per page, I didn't think that it will be the only setting available.

- Tags for movies and games shouldn't be the same ones. A tag like "feature film" or "documentary" makes a lot of sense for the movie section, but is useless for the games. Please give us different sets of tags for each section.

- I want the original cover arts and boxes for the games back. The store graphics might look nice, but the boxes gave you the feeling of a real collection (and not of browsing a store). Besides that the original cover art is part of the history of the games and should be there.

- Old PMs are missing. I really hope you wiull import them to the new section (like you aid you would).


Some positive points:

- Shared wishlists are great (especially for big sales)!

- Order history is a very helpful feature (especially when you have to deal with support) and the possibility to search for unredeemed gift codes is great!

- The possibility to tag games is nice (but it doesn't compensate for the loss of manual sorting)

option to print out the receipts if possible also as printable version and if possible print all or per order cause otherwise it will be a lot of paging before we can print these one by one.


galaxy is a client/tool
maybe ad a tab where all tools/client software can be put, cause these are not games, i dont know if its added to game total now, but yesterday it added to the total of games, this might be confusing at first sight.
Movies have their own place and so should all non games aswell.

Suppose many extra non games should be needed, then the number of games would rise drastically

Are the boxes still available somewhere?

I hope your plans for shelf skins include a "shelfless" skin. Now that you've ditched the tall game boxes, some grey boxes sitting on a wooden shelf honestly doesn't look aesthetically pleasing.

I'd also like to see user-defined sets of filters that you can set as the default view for the library (e.g. whenever you open your library, the RPG/Windows/English/SP/Backlog set is loaded).

You're probably right, I don't get a "show wishlist" in your hover menu.
EDIT: PaterAlf's wishlist works, and I get the link in their hover menu.

I am not too annoyed with that, because I like to manage my library offline, but I was a bit surprised when I looked at the library on my account.

Oh, yes, now you say it, this is indeed terrible. Please GOG, make it uniform - one way or the other but never both. Write the system so that in future titles following the other form (whichever you choose) are outright rejected.

I'd like to see a way to share libraries, and to have total order amounts listed in order history, depending on the tags selected.
