GOG being inconsistent? Perish that thought.

Always living in a democratic regime can confuse you on these matters :). The rulemakers don't have to follow their own rules.

I gave the release post a pass because they do that with every game.

Please use the "Life is Strange" subforum.
I feel the OP doesn't live up to delivering what was promised by the thread title.

While it does in fact list a problem, there is a whole heck of a lot more wrong with GOG right now than just that.

...Like the fact they wouldn't let me preload my retail copy, so now i have to sit until my 1 MB/s internet completes the 63 GB download.

I don't really see an issue with this. GOG was inevitably going to going to promote Cyberpunk heavily (I don't care about the game personally but it is a big-deal game, and maybe newsposts are automatically created in the general forum if posted to the front page), but more importantly (imo) it makes sense to encourage all user-made Cyberpunk-related posts to be grouped together in the relevant subforum rather than end up filling up and getting mixed in with general discussion. They're not -- only once the first comment is posted is the forum comment thread (which is all the forum version of a newspost is intended to be) actually created, hence all the "forum pop!" posts in those threads.
I don't ever remember it being any different.

Also @GOG:

I still remember what you did with the monks. Never forget.
After a few weeks away I come back to see a number of "strange" blue comments that make me reticent to reply to posts. Something changed

It's just a small slice of the problems. Inconsistency combined with hypocrisy. Beautiful. I don't hate them. But I don't like the whole double standard mentality.

Imo one of the biggest problems with GOG atm is that they seem to have stopped listening to and communicating with their user base.

Good point. Still I don't really have a problem with what paladin is talking about.

I noticed this a little while back. Guess they gave in the towel and just do ghost moderating.
