My favourite animal is the cat. I think they look nice; I like how soft their fur is; I like the sounds they make - the meows and purrs (though not so much at 5 in the morning when my cat decides he wants an early breakfast :/ ); I like how much friendlier cats enjoy sitting on me and being stroked; and I like how independent they are, that I can just go out and be sure that my cat will be alright, and that, if the worst should happen to me, my cat could find another owner or turn feral rather than just dying like most other pets would.

Oh, and this giveaway is astonishingly generous. You, sir, are a king among men.

According to a Chinese friend of mine, my spirit animal is a Hawk. Everyone has a spirit animal according to Chinese mythical lore.

However, my favorite animal is my Husky dog (I call him Wolfie) as seen in my profile picture.

They are super-friendly, loyal, never ever bite and never leave your side.

They can sense when someone in the house is sad or has negative emotions and then they try to cheer him up by acting babyish and funny.

I like animals in general but I particularly like canines and felines. No specific species or breed though.

Favourite animal is a tough one... but probably wolves (and dogs as a kind of sub category of that), I've always found them beautiful and fascinating.

But bears and birds of prey come close seconds. Bears I've always found awesome (they're like bigger wolves!) and birds of prey are just so majestic and so well designed for what they do.

My favorite animal? That's tough. I think mice are super cool and very acrobatic. I had some pet mice for a while and even bred them a couple of times. The mouse jungle gyms were epic!

I also think that praying mantids are really cool. I bought some egg sacs in middle school and hatched them, then released them into the backyard. So elegant, yet dangerous. I was told that in China they can get up to 18 cm long! Can you imagine being in long grass and having a pack of those praying mantids hunting you?!?

Otters are also adorable... They hold hands when they sleep and use stone tools to eat. #Evolution
