Upcoming 25th Year Anniversary? What anniversary is EA talking about? The only thing related to C&C that happened 25 years ago, is that EA bought Westwood, only to later bury the corpse in their personal studio graveyard.

Until C&C get's released DRM Free on GOG, like Origin and Bullfrog titles. I'll never shut up about this.

The 25th anniversary of the series...

Westwood is where it belongs, in history. They were badly run and everything they made after RA1 in 1996 was subpar from multiple angles (not that fanboys will ever admit that). The secondary studio in Irvine lived on after moving and rebranding anyway.

Command & Conquer (1995). WTH is happening with my math?

Everybody on the Internet doesn't agree with me? Clearly they're just trolling/obsessed fanboys with a warped view of the world.

Were they? I never looked all that much into the history of the studio, but I'd love to read some of it. Do you happen to have a link?

Probably a teaser for their upcoming C&C Battle Royale game
It would be good to remaster Red Alert 2 is one of my games favorite C&C series.
Red Alert 2 and Tiberium Sun already have a remaster, it's called opening .ini with notepad.
As much as this is interesting, I am never installing Origin on my PC or even Uplay. They lost me as a customer a long long long time ago. If I need a dose of classic, OpenRA is there for that.

Origin is not a good platform. I runs something in the background even if the client is closed. Besides games have a tendency to disappear from your library. Uplay is decent though.
Depends on what they do with it. If they don't touch the gameplay in any way and just improve the graphics, add full compatibility with newer OSes and properly scale everything to fit higher resolutions, I might be interested. But I have my First Decade so I will definitely not buy if they put no effort in it.

It is sad really because C&C 3 and the expansion were good. Red Alert 3 was still decent, just had neutered harvesting. And then EA went and plummeted into the garbage it is now.

Yes, I also agree C&C 3 and the expansion were good.
C&C 4 was something that this series did not deserve.
I'm interested but very skeptical for obvious reasons.

Curious as to why EA is regaining interest in CC now though.

People who don't have as much insight as I do that fit the description are.

So much for you "caring" about the series and studio you claim to love.

Now? They've never mentioned when development started. Maybe it was after Blizzard released their Starcraft remastered?
But no, I am not "curious"; these big publishers are never open and honest about their business decisions.

The reason is simple. They announced C&C Rivals, a mobile cashcow, and naturally the whole C&C fanbase ripped it three new assholes. One of its devs lobbied for a PC C&C game, and they went for a remaster.

Because EA cares about a vocal minority!
