It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

Sounds like you have a duplicate font (Helvetica probably). You can delete them from your control panel in Windows. There's something called Fontbook for Mac.

It only shows up 'Helvetica Regular' in teh list. Hmmm, too many fonts to see dupes.
Does this happen when you allow webpages to assign their own fonts, like GOG?

9 S S 9.

uuuuh... not sure [how to check]
clarification as I got it wrong: i actually see the '9' properly, on the main forum threads. it's the reply box i'm not seeing it. same with colon.

does that narrow it down any? i'm really not technical.

Yes, but technically no. It sounds like a character issue, but nothing so specific.
Are you using Add-Ons?
If yes, have you tried deactivating them?
Edit: Wait, that won't help in this case. Nevermind.

You could always go to xiles.net and download nexusfont. It will find duplicates for you and allow you to delete them. Not sure if that's your issue though - couldn't hurt to check though.

It could be GoG's poor web design at work again. If the font appears fine in other browsers then it's an issue of something on GoG's end conflicting with your browser somehow.
