MarkoH01: We tried to do our best. Of course when getting back home I was thinking "oh, I should have asked this or I should have asked that" but I really hope we could cover at least the most important things and that we could also make GOG aware of things they might not have noticed yet. After all we jsut were there for 1.5 days.
Did you tell them that managing Gog games & standalones is terrible without the voluntary work of various goggers?
(magog, gogrepo, update thread, etc)
DID YOU? >:D

Thanks for the invite Marcin! I'll remember that!

So:
Have questions been raised/semi-answered about Witcher 3 coming to Linux?
I switched to ubuntu buuut I can't play my game anymore!

I don't want no wine wrappers I want native Witcher 3 on Linux!

I can no longer in my good conscience support games with single operating system in mind; it is not fair!

Pheace: @The Mighty 6

The simplest question I can imagine. Is there anything specific you think GOG will or think they'll do different after talking to you guys?
avatar
GR00T: I really think they'll improve the communication with the forum community, for one thing.

*edit* An amusing side note: before replying to this, I was scrolling back through the thread looking for a forum user named 'The Mighty 6'. Got back about 3 pages before I realized to whom you were referring.
lol, sorry for being confusing xD

I'm curious to see what form it'll take.

GR00T: the other forum members I met were just great people.
And a Horrible Human Person. Don't forget about that guy ;)

They definitely invited more than Europeans, because I was also invited but could not attend.

Congrats to those who could attend though, wish I could have met some of you.

We didn't have a Q&A with CD Projekt unfortunately. We did touch general Linux support, but not sure how much we can tell.

Good enough!
Thanks :-)

ROFL

Though I have to say that "mighty" is just .... too big.

Yes. :)

JMich: ...they had a lot of support request from users complaining that their games didn't update, and that they didn't have access to multiplayer, achievements or cloud saves. These were from users that downloaded the games but didn't understand that they also had to install Galaxy to benefit from those extra features (despite all the banners and other "try Galaxy" buttons), so they wanted streamline the experience for those users.
Exactly what I said was probably the reason... glad to see there was truth to that.

It's already a few weeks away but I am pretty sure that we at least mentioned it. If not we really should have.... but yes, I am quite sure we told them.

Edit: PaterAlf confirmed that we actually did. I have to do more memory jogging ;)
Edit2: And JMich as well. Now I can sleep tight again.

I think we did mention the tools post pizza, when we moved to the smaller room. Different subject, but the backup management was discussed.

adaliabooks: Plus I'm not really great with social situations and while I would have loved to go I know I would have been very anxious if I had...

GR00T: I'm the same way, but I have to say the GOG people were fantastic hosts and the other forum members I met were just great people.
^ This! I was a little nervous as well, but the people from GOG and the other forum members were absolutely fantastic. I really felt welcome the whole time.

They have some scary ATM machines in Poland though. ;)
Although I'd like to have been invited too, I think it was a good idea, apart from the short notice from what I gathered which might be a bigger problem for people that don't live a few hours by train from Warsaw like I do.
