markrichardb: So many years ago today… ah, my fellow GoGer is up and dressed I see. Today is the High Harvest Fair, and the West Harbor village council requires me to man the archery competition. The human need to celebrate remembrance days baffles me, but at least something productive may come of it.

Seriously though, good for you. Those were dark times when the choices we value so highly as PC gamers seemed to grow fewer by the day. I too was close to packing everything in and moving to greener pastures.
If it wasn't for GOG, I think a lot of us would have moved on to greener pastures long ago... especially us older gamers who have enough experience with the hobby to know what a downward spiral it has taken in the last few years. GOG became the light at the end of a very dark tunnel.

I was brought to gog when my dear, dear brother stupidly told me about "this little sale a place called 'g-o-g' is having". That sale was the Insomnia Sale and I've been stuck here ever since.

I joined GOG to buy Hotline Miami without having to submit to steam. Now i have nearly 80 games on my account.
DRM-free forever!
Also does my title still say new user because if so c'mon son what a ghost gotta do.

It says so because you haven't changed it yet by going to "My Settings" at the top of this page and modifying it to anything you wish, which you can do on day one.

Congratz on this first lustrum, Bavarian. May GOG continue lighting our lives with what remains of the Philosophy of those Good Old days... I knew this site from like 2010-2011 but decided to definitely register here near April 2014. I kinda "envy" you because of being here so much earlier than me!! ;P Anyway.... Have a Great Week, man!
