The same thing that happened with those happy owners of XIII and Re-Volt (missed this gem), they all will be there on your digital shelf ready for download while others will complain and cry out loud ;)
Not sure I can blame near dead Interplay for Bethesda's decision to increase prices for now their owned games on GOG.

Well, shit. I should've bit on the Bundle Stars deal when it was live.

I'll just wait until the Winter sale and get it that way. I would've liked to see the whole bundle here at GOG, but it looks like the publishers don't give a shit about this place.

A few months ago I finished Duke Nukem I. It's a pretty EGA platformer, quite easy and entertaining, sometimes even fun. I managed to get though 6 episodes and get that nasty Dr. Proton in about 3 days of lazy playing.

Duke Nukem II was far to difficult for me even on Medium difficulty. You need to get used to it to enjoy. But it's the first ever Dukem Nukem game with SPEECH ;))

Interplay increased the prices for the Fallout games 1 year before the games were removed from GOG's catalog. And the Fallout games weren't the only that had their price increased, but also games like Earthworm Jim 1+2, Freespace 2, Giants and Sacrifice.

Only the Dukem Nukem license was sold to Gearbox. Everything else belongs to Interceptor... wait, what? ;)
Different story: Afro Samurai 2 was removed as a whole game (because it was so bad) while Duke Nukem games are okay but franchise now belongs to infamous creators of Aliens Colonial Marines ;)

The very same story happened with STAR WARS franchise which was sold to Disney. Well my Steam Dark Forces & Jedi Knight games remained untouched as it should be.

Yeah I can recall that unfortunate chain of events. Half-dead Interplay struggling against bankruptcy increased prices for their products.
And then Bethesda bring their games along with Fallout games and start selling them like an old wine to the decadent Rome Empire (bad example I know).

Of course I can blame Interplay for Bethesda's decision to sell overpriced Morrowind, Doom and Fallout. Seems logical to me now.

Ha, same here. I haven't bought anything from them since Back to the Future, because it bugged me, that all the bugs in their games weren't fixed at all, they got more expensive by the minute and the new ones didn't really interest me anyway since it was just franchise milking.

That too. Their general 'not giving a crap' attitude pissed me off.

Does only the Duke Nukem games on gog have a chance of being remove for sale?
If not, what other 3d-realms games have a possibility of being removed?

Ya know, it could just be a similar thing to when Bethesda took over the license for the Fallout games.

They may be required to take them down (legally) before they can re-issue them here with Gearbox as the publisher. It might not be as simple as just changing the publisher name on the gamecard page.

So, maybe, just maybe the same thing that happened with Bethesda will happen with Gearbox after the dust settles. As in the Duke games will come back (and DNF I guess) but also the Borderlands games (at least the first one).

Of course I have NO clue, I'm just thinking outloud.

Also we don't even know if they're being removed from here at all yet...

Whatever the case may be, I downloaded a backup copy of the anthology installer from the 3D Realms website, to be safe.

(Yeah, as if I didn't already own - multiple - disc copies of most of these games...)

I'm sure we don't have to worry about our GOG libraries being affected by this.

What about the Megaton ed./Devolver? Simply gone from steam, is that it?

They haven't said anything about it. If it was being pulled, Devolver would say so and have a fire sale.

But honestly they probably have a deal to keep the game for sale.
