Grargar: 3D Realms only has the legal ability to sell those two games (Commander Keen and Wolfenstein 3D) on their site. Both of those games are missing from the Anthology on Steam, since id/Bethesda are publishing them there. In exchange, 3D Realms added some other games not present in their site (like Balls of Steel).
I know, I'm just a bit disappointed that this is the case. I'd have been more likely to play and enjoy Commander Keen than Balls of Steel. All in all, I'm not sure yet, whether the purchase was actually worth it (I know, I know, sacrilege ;) ). They were all nice games back in the days but I don't know whether I will actually still play them today, and some don't run that well either or have awkward control settings from a modern perspective (e.g. Blake Stone). But there's still hope that I might enjoy Cosmo's Cosmic Adventure and Mystic Towers, and then there's also GemCraft and CrossCode from the bundle.

There's also the original version of Raptor: Call of the Shadows included in the package, which is apparently better than the one sold by DotEmu (at least according to this wishlist).

GemCraft: Chasing Shadows is probably the best tower defense game ever made. It is deep, and have an insane amount of content.
It's now official. Balls of Steel, Duke Nukem 1+2, Duke Nukem 3D and Duke Nukem: Manhattan Project will be removed from GOG.
They're supposed to remove the anthology from 3drealms.com today but as of right now it's still available.

Snatched my copy already.

vicklemos: What about the Megaton ed./Devolver? Simply gone from steam, is that it?
It took a while longer, but Megation Edition of Duke 3D is gone as well:

And now the only Duke Nukem available for sale digitally is Duke Nukem Forever. Gearbox says that Duke Nukem 3D should be back this year. Let's see how long it will take and whether it will return to GOG at the same time.

Humpf.. I LOVE devolver and that's a direct hit... but. well, it's a part of life, right?
Damn i hate this when it happens. Not only GOG has a severely limited catalog, but it also keeps getting thinner and thinner, instead of richer and wider! At least i got those during their final sale on huge discount! Thanks gog for the offering and most importantly, for the WARNING!

Why is that? I see GOG growing slowly but steadily. Even the in-development games is a step forward (though i don't care for most of those games)

Because many games are being constantly removed! And OLDIES, worst of all! This, coupled with the fact that other games, which are considered classics besides oldies too, ultimately, don't make it to gog, ever... Despite thousands and thousands of votes and demands. And the copyrights hell... And that steam getting all candy while we merely chew on dry bread...

Imagine that games like Scratches and Blade of Darkness got removed... Now Duke Nukem... See games like Bloodlines that are almost certain to never grace gog... Pitiful; sad and pitiful.

well that's what acquiring copyrights from other companies does! It's not exactly GOG's fault if for example all the games from Disney/Lucas will be acquired by Microsoft so they'll be removed from here.

But, as long as we give money to GOG and show the Big Unsigned Publishers (BUPs) that GOG is becoming bigger, they'll become more inclined to sign publishing deals with our beloved platform :D.

I've narrowed down my Steam purchases by a huge margin in the last year, and i have more patience to wait for games to be released here (case in point : SW:KOTOR).

Don't become pessimistic KingBradley!

WE MUST BELIEVE
The very reason I came and joined this website in the first place is for the classic games. Titles like RollerCoaster Tycoon, Master of Magic, Heroes of Might and Magic, Duke Nukem, etc etc etc.

Now Gearbox decided to take all the Duke Nukem games away from GOG, Steam and the Playstation Store. What a crapfest.

This is why you guys shouldn't completely depend on buying digital only games. Torrent that crap, or buy a physical copy.

In fact I have a load of games offered on this website that I downloaded completely for free, either through a very obscure game database website or on Abandonia (before the games were moved to GOG and priced). I actually have Duke Nukem 3D and the two platformers preceding it, because given the track record of Duke I somewhat figured bullcrap like this would happen. And sure enough it did.

Licensing, lawsuits and disputes? All done to make money. Well let's hope DOOM 2016 is decent. id Software are a shell of their former selves, but I'm hoping I can see a first person shooter that draws it's roots from the older titles. Wolfenstein: The New Order did this well.
This blows. Megaton definitely isn't on Steam anymore (although the community hub still exists, thankfully). I'm just glad a good friend of mine gifted me the game before it got removed.
