Well, it is only $3. And you could buy it as a gift code. And you could always try to trade it with another user here on GOG (I got Rogue Legacy, which is Linux-approved, as a gift code specifically so I could trade it if I decide I find a better offer). And you could also contact support if you get something non-Linux.

No, I wouldn't count on that.

There is no option under your account to specify the OS you use. (I think it would be impossible then for the code that randomizes the mystery gift to even know it should be giving only a game on a specific OS).

I know you can limit searches based on OS but that code is site wide for any user and not tied to a user account. Unless the checkout process provided a check-box for OSX only or Linux only then I would think the answer is no because it's not possible.

Normally though it does sniff your user-agent and warns you if you're about to purchase something that's not compatible with your OS.

I don't think it gives a toss what's on anyone's wishlist. =) It does prioritize games you don't own, but some titles seem to have limited quantities that are periodically replenished (just like in the Indie Piñata sale earlier this year), so even if not all the games in the Mystery Games pool are owned, you still might get something you don't want.

You can only trade/give away games you bought as a gift. And it is done by simply sending the gift code to whoever you want to give it to via the means you prefer - email, PM/chat, written down as a rebus on a piece of paper and mailed via the postal system, verbally, carved into the skull of a common enemy, or through any other interesting way - (already-redeemed codes can, of course, not be redeemed again). There is no "trading" function built into GOG.

If the game's in your account, you have to ask GOG Support to convert it to a gift code, provided that you haven't downloaded it or its extras already.

If it's already in the form of a gift code, then you can sue the GOG Trading Thread, saying what you have on offer and what you'd like in return.

As Maighstir said, there's no official trading mechanics on GOG. Also note that there have been a number of scamming incidences, so I suggest you read the OP of the above thread, and any links mentioned in it, and exercise caution.
