You know what won't arrive on GOG? Devotion

Breja: Anyway, Milkmaid of the Milky Way is a very nice game, if a bit short and shallow. But GOG took so long to release it here, probably everyone interested already played it. It's been available DRM-free all this time too. [...]
For any given game, there are always tons of people who have never heard of it before, or who heard about it and, for whatever reason(s), forgot about it (or simply kept putting off buying it). This goes even for major games, let alone little indies like these.
It's just up to the individual dev/publisher to decide whether they think the return will be worth the effort required to release on a new store.

Breja: You can. It's "name your own price" on Itch.io, so you can get it for free or pay a 100 $ for it - it's up to you.

Dogmaus: Yes and no, for example I could have been interested but I tend to forget about itch.io as I use GOG daily, it's not a problem that it was free before, my bad if I've missed a freebie, but I'll wait for a higher discount because it was cheaper elsewhere and I'm not in any hurry. :) In the end I'm still glad it's on my (still) favourite store. I could also rebuy things I didn't have the patience to wait for, if they arrive on GOG, given that the price is very low.
They were talking about Heroine's Quest (which is not here at all) being free on other stores. I'm pretty sure these two games have always been commercial.

Alexim: For those interested, both games also have Galaxy achievements even if it's not reported in the games pages!
Nice. Guess the devs didn't have any trouble. Good to know!
Embracelet OST (Mp3)
Embracelet OST (Wav)
Milkmaid Of The Milky Way OST (Mp3)
Milkmaid Of The Milky Way OST (Flac)

Strange that the Embracelet OST isn't FLAC. Laziness, I suppose.

Sure. I'm not saying it's a bad thing they're releasing it here. All I meant was that it would have made way more sense to do so long ago, and I can't imagine it was the devs who were preventing it.

amok: Pedantic mode on -
one thing that annoys me with that game, is that it is based on Norse mythology, and the heroine is suppsed to stop the eternal winter: Ragnarök. But in Norse mythology the enternal winter is Fimbulvetr or Fimbulwinter, which comes before Ragnarök.... Get your Norse mythological events right, god damit!
- Pedantic mode off.
+1

Nobody expects the Nordic Inquisition :-)

Should be "gods dammit" though. :-P

Starmaker: > 2.3 / 5

No verified owners, no reviews. Checked the man's twitter - it's ok, games only, bio is fine, mouth is closed. Is there anything I should know or is it the normal gog-style welcome?
Well...

GOG community has an internet reputation of "whiny grumpy old gamers". I wish I could say that was wrong. I just hope I'm less on the whiny side.

It is a website issue, GOG doesn't have any other way to indicate that you have looked at a game and are not interested so some people use one star for this. This has the most impact on a newly released game.
I concur. Even highly-voted freeware here is appreciated.

I would not give too much about the rating immediately after a game release. Both games still have only a few votes and each of them just a single vote from a game owner:

Embracelet
- rating from all votes: 3.7 (6 votes)
- rating from owners: 5.0 (1 vote)

Milkmaid of the Milky Way
- rating from all votes: 4.3 (8 votes)
- rating from owners: 5.0 (1 vote)

There were times GOG has displayed the number of votes on their game card, but unfortunately it got lost in one of their site "improvements"... At least for me the number of votes is an essential information about the validity of a rating.

Dogmaus: I think I had noticed these on Itch.io but hadn't realised they were from the same dev as Heroine's Quest. That might even be DRM free already on Steam, I haven't tried though.
I'd never heard of that, Heroine's Quest's dev is listed as Crystal Shard, who make AGS adventure games among some others, while Milkmaid of the Milky Way is an Unity game developed by machineboy. Unless machineboy has some connection to Crystal Shard that isn't obvious on the surface.

Mattis Folkestad (the solo dev of machineboy) isn't mentioned on Crystal Shard's website either. I feel like maybe this is just GOG users posting about a similarly themed game that is unrelated to the release.

Funny side note, it's not even WAV, at the moment it's just an exact copy of the MP3 download. I imagine GOG will replace it with the proper files soon.

So I'm lost at why the first post in this thread asks when is that free game coming here on GOG 8/ And given that the machineboy games are very different from each other anyway, I thought it was possible.

Votes from non owner users should be written in a very small font in some little corner, better if there were no votes at all, they are so arbitrary:
this is such a good game! a solid 3/5
I can't really recommend this boring thing to anyone 3/5

Steam nailed a good system, let you ignore games, and has editable reviews - which isn't rocket science - all GOG has to do is copy it, but no, they are too lazy even for that.
Now anyone who deems a game to be too "artistic" for their taste will giive 1 star.
Black character? 1 star
Female character? 1 star
Anything that's not for "the real hardcore gamer"? 1 star.
If I were a dev between this game launch horror and the reviews being fexed forever I would feel discouraged to put my game in a smaller store like this, more than from any misgivings about DRM free.

Geez - it was just a friendly, slightly off-topic (despite Milkmaid and Heroine's Quest sharing quite a few similarities) reminder for

1) GoG to get Heroine's Quest on GoG
2) people to drop a vote or two to make 1) more likely

And yes, it's free, but so are other titles on GoG.
Hello, new games, you are welcome.
