I forgot decryption key in my post, I updated it.
Yes, thats a point - to directly run swf's. I have not yet encountered a swf, which can't be run in 10 or 27.
27 version uses more resources and I can remember really really old swf animations failing to start in it.
Old 10 flash seems overall faster, but some complex recent flash games may fail to run in it.
I have extracted swf's simply by using browser "page info", until I get url to flash object, then just "save as". Then start player and open the "swf" you saved. Sometimes however, games are shipped in several swf's. I don't think the player can run those, unless you download all of them, put in same location and start the main one.
Of course you should not feed them swf's that you are sure to be dangerous/exploits...
I found these binaries packaged along with offline flash games.
They are stand alone official players, which Adobe doesn't seem to like to share directly with users, but are available to developers. Feel free to share if you have more versions, but I think nothing should need more recent version than 27..

I am not sure, why KOHCTPYKTOP (constructor) electronics game is demo version in the archive.
Here is the full version, direct link: http://www.zachtronics.com/games/kohctpyktop/kohctpyktop.swf
