Blue Maxima have some software (Flashpoint) for playing Flash Games offline, and their Ultimate download, which is a whopping 242 Gb contains all their listed free games, so far.

Many will be of interest to some here.

Amanita Design has 7 games listed, of which two are demos of full games here (Machinarium and Botanicula), plus they have the Samorost 2 (free version). They also have the complete first Samorost game for free, and 3 other games alternatively available from the Dev's website for free.

They are just a few of the many many many free flash games available.

I've only downloaded so far, the smaller Infinity download of around 280 Mb. Apparently that has a good number of the games, but also more importantly, a menu to get all the rest individually.

The Full List ....(takes a good while to load)

Bit of a blurb by them.

Internet history is important, and content made on platforms such as Adobe Flash make up a significant portion of that culture doomed to obscurity. This project is dedicated to preserving as many games and animations from these platforms as possible, so that they aren't lost to time. Since early 2018, over a hundred contributors have helped Flashpoint save more than 38,000 games and 2,400 animations running on 13 different platforms.

Flashpoint utilizes a strong selection of open-source software. Our custom-built launcher handles the constantly-growing collection efficiently and works in conjunction with the Redirector, which does a massive amount of service by making web content pretend it's on the internet.

Impressive. I did a quick search and they have all the games I could remember by name from the good old days of free Flash games. Seems like I have some downloading to do.
Wow, that’s going to take some looking at. I remember a few flash games back in the day.
Too bad I don't remember the names of most flash games I used to play. I only remember Amorphous and Intrusion :P

Impressive list though.
Thank you for the heads-up, I've been looking for something just like this! Spotted many of my favorite flash games on the list, I'm glad there's a way to preserve these games.

Out of interest, as you have it already, can you add and remove manually? Say I downloaded all the 242gb, could I then remove all the Chinese language ones to shrink the space it takes, I.e. are they just files or folders you can remove?

I only grabbed the smaller download (280 Mb) and not installed it yet.

You could try that yourself to find out.
Okay, but of 38,000 flash games, just how many of those are actually worth playing?

Most things flashwise that I recall are from specific websites like Neopets.
They have Arcane by Sarbakan! It's like I'm 22 again.

(but no Portal: the Flash Version)
Does this have the, uh... the Charlie... the flash "games"?

Asking for a friend, of course.
Finally I can play Samorost 1 without actual flash... can I?

They've got Hannah and the Pirates Caves from Neopets. So at least one game that was worth playing.

But there are no games worth letting anything involving Flash onto my PC ever again.

Consider this a preservation effort,
kinda like what GOG did at the start,

so i will download it, vault it...
and one day possilbly run it on a close
system, like a Virtual machine.
Just finished the 242GB download overnight. I used the torrent option and downloaded it onto my Raspberry Pi. I think I will first transfer it to some other computer to inspect and run it.

So... does this package install or use some (insecure) Flash plugins, or is the Flashpoint in itself some kind of sandboxed Flashplayer that can be run securely? Maybe I follow the advice and try it on some (Linux) virtual machine...

I was actually more interested in the Flash animations, I hope this package has them too. I have gathered and also archived quite many of them on my hard drive over the years (like I think the famous "Metallica on Napster" animations, it was Flash was it? Or the "Stackars negerslav"?). That was the time before Youtube, people would download and watch those animations.
Good news! I have long wondered about the total death of that part of internet history.

Still, personally I never cared for that format. I can not remember a single flash game or movie I want to revisit. There is something about that clipart style that just feels bland and hollow.
