A new month, a new opportunity for some bite-sized resolutions! ;) I've decided to make my resolutions a monthly thing for 2025... Perhaps by keeping my goals small enough to fit inside my pocket, it might encourage me to keep my resolutions realistically attainable?

Here are my resolutions for February 2025 (got until the 28th to complete them):

- Thoroughly back up EVERYTHING on my PC in preparation for next month's Linux installation.
- Repair the zipper on my favourite backpack. If impossible, purchase a new backpack.
- Read one book. Something I meant to do the previous month. :P

Been telling myself for years (yes, years!) that I'd get around to installing and migrating to Linux from my W7 gaming rig. So this month I'll take my first baby steps and concentrate on creating a full backup of all of my data in preparation for next month's big project. ;) I'd also like to repair the zipper on my favourite backpack, which I've owned for many years and which I've a difficult time parting away from.

Anyone else want to make resolutions for February 2025? If yes, I'd love to hear from you. :)

Oh, good luck with the Linux move!
And if you want to share partitions between Linux and Windows, have a good look at file systems. Both can use NTFS, but Windows may do things with it that Linux may not take so well, and I gather that there has been a recent regression in the NTFS driver for Linux that causes problems so you need to blacklist the... new old driver and get the old but newer one (?). But was also reading something about BTRFS as a good alternative, if you install the Windows driver for it.

Clone your drive. At least you will have that, in the event something goes wrong.

for this year's February (aka "dry February") I have decided to play absolutely zero games (that require any screen)

it actually goes well with your third resolution - I also have tons of books I should check, and I've already finished some! (first 5 books of One Piece manga, so this took about 3 days, but still :D

You probably have these, but for all to use some free crap....

and incase the noobs cant handle Clonezilla....heres a graphical version. But a reminder to expand any drive if you go from small to larger. As the gui may not auto expand a drive as basic Clonezilla will.
