(This is more a sad tale/article & less about clown world, but this is the news thread that this would most fit in so i'll drop it here)

In summary, a truck full of Vietnamese migrants was found recently, and is similar to a truck full of chinese found at an industrial park in the past. The current truck found was filled with the bodies of what is speculated to be people trying to be smuggled into the country(which boggles my mind, as I thought they were letting migrants in en masse in the UK/EU, compared to countries with stricter limits on/terms for immigration/asylum).

To me(and i'm sure many others) this is a sad state of affairs, and my prayers go out to the deceased and their families.

No one is "letting" migrants anywhere. Borders are still existing (despite the efforts of certain parties), thus all the migrants have to be "smuggled" into, even into EU. The matter of kicking illegal migrants out of EU - that's entirely different story.

A-and, of course, that was downvoted.

By letting I meant immigration/migration being encouraged by many EU countries and the limits raised to allow more in by various people.

I am starting to put more stock in what some told me about some here(not me of course) using rating tools to auto low rate all posts by a user in certain threads.

At least I hope it is that, as the alternatives(other people manually downrating each day to troll me/others, or people holding a grudge for so long) seem far worse.

As I and others have said before: We could give away a million dollars with no strings attached or offer the cure for cancer and some here would downvote it out of spite/habit.

This world is getting sad in how institutions bow to social pressure or a small handful of people or virtue signal to gain good PR from the same people.

As Tim(in the video) says: What will they b*n next? Will they do as Tim says and make everyone dress in non-descript grey boxes and not talk at all someday lest they offend someone? Probably not, but then again it might be just as bad.

Also, he is right in that someone will likely find something else(or the jazz hands now being used) to be offended by.....it never ends, I tell ya.

Awww...came in here expecting a thread about how everyone is going to be Pennyworth, Joaqin joker and Heath Joker for Halloween this year, instead got a political thread asking people not to be political, asking them to be civil, and then talking about how it is unfair that people who were mean in the media were censured by the public for it (although a later article is about how it is unfair that an abortion activist making jokes is mean and they should be censured? So I dunno, probably something political).

This isn't a political thread(not gov't politics, which are banned), but a thread on current events. I also asked posters to not break the no gov't politics rule to keep the thread from being locked, and asked people to be civil so everyone who does read it can enjoy their time doing so without reading bad posts by others.

The thread itself(if you're still curious and read this reply) is on anything which shows how the world is getting "worse"/in a more "sad' state seemingly in modern times, with focus on that and not gov't politics. If that isn't your cup of tea, I am sorry to hear that.......I compacted all my posts into these threads and gave them clear(most know what clown world means, usually) titles so I could post on such and allow some to partake while also allowing those that dislike such to avoid them.

1. It's not politics(of the type disallowed here, that is, which is gov't politics) just because it's all current events, else everyone who posts on current events on the forums would be punished by now/their threads locked.
(Also to be clear: Staff know about this thread. Seeing as it is not locked[and other threads were that did break rules somehow], then it does not fit under the no politics rule you mention)

2. No one forces you to read it, so why do you bother? Or do you like subjecting yourself to things you dislike for some odd reason?

Ah come on, this "clown world" meme and the kek stuff in your avatar description ("citizen of Kekistan") comes from the American alt-right online culture, bit silly to claim that this isn't political.
imo you really should end this thread and write only about games etc. here, nothing positive (not for you either!) will come of this.

1st bit: Clown World isn't a*t right....but the usually biased MSM will keep on saying that to get clicks....anyone on any side can use it to describe any issue that shows the bad things happening in the world.

As for kek, I picked it an random to make a jab at the ones who dumbly said it is now a h*te speech term(I use it as originally intended, to indicate laughter/etc. I have also used a ton of other gaming/misc titles as well).

And no, despite what some stubbornly think I am not trying to go against the rules....which are on gov't politics, not social ones.

2nd bit: I am guessing you mean well, but I post as I will while trying to stay within the rules, and if some don't like it they are free to not partake/read it just as I don't partake in things I dislike.

Anyway, only thing you'll achieve with your activity is that many users here will think of you as a weird net Nazi...it's not like there's been much positive interest in this thread so far.

I do it as habit due to some sites auto-deleting comments with certain terms, and also to help keep such terms out of the site's search listings/be nice to others a bit.

Don't take this the wrong way, but I don't care much at this point how some view me......I am not trying to be an internet celebrity and for some my image is already tarnished beyond hope of fixing.

Also sometimes I get a civil reply or two, which is nice.....and i'm guessing some might want to weigh in but avoid doing so to avoid being low rated or associated with what has gone on here.

(BTW make sure to check my replies after like a few minutes if you want the full versions.....as I often edit them to add/correct stuff)

Errr....to be clear, there's nothing about 'government politics' in the Code of Conduct. It just says 'politics', which this thread definitely is. You can see this from the scores of threads that were locked that definitely didn't talk about any specific government, but absolutely talked about the sort of topics you seem to cover in this thread (LGBTQ rights, 'censorship', abortion rights, etc).

And you may very well be right that staff know about this thread, but that just points to inconsistent moderation, which...everyone already knew about staff.

Out of curiousity (and before you throw the 'if you don't like this thread, leave!' at me), why did you start this thread? You say you saw that the world is falling apart, but I don't see how that's a foregone conclusion at all. I'd say that aside from some environmental issues strangely absent from your articles (which I'm still certain we'll eventually solve, no thanks to certain parties), the world is steadily improving.

I'm sure you can see how someone coming into this thread, seeing a bunch of right-wing (and I don't mean this in a derogatory way, simply a political way) talking points interspersed with articles (that you mention got your attention from "alternative" reporting sites), would get a certain impression?

Considering that you don't even know about "clown world" meme, that's not surprising.
