It's a Windows game. Make sure you watch its gameplay video before you buy, it's known to have very slow combat system.

How is that "Two Worlds 2" game? Is it better than the first one?
Dear gog, I just checked, and the front page is indeed marginally funnier is you switch the rollecoaster and spiderweb promos around.

(Or maybe it's just me.)

IronArcturus: How is that "Two Worlds 2" game? Is it better than the first one?
Since I gave a few pointers yesterday on Two Worlds... ;)

I didn't enjoy it as much. It's a bit more of a traditional 3rd person ARPG (Risen, Gothic) but there are better ones out there. The first "level" / world after the tutorial is enormous and gorgeous - think an African savanna with scattered settlements and a lovely washed out beige to everything. There are a couple other interesting environments as well.

Things I didn't like: My favorite part of the first game was the loot hunting and drops. This one has a much more limited supply of loot. There's a fun spell card system (but you'll miss it if you don't go the route of a mage) and some interesting gems stuff (I think I can't quite remember).

Things I REALLY didn't like - the map is huge, but the entire last section of the game is a lie LOL. You don't even explore a vast majority - as far as I can tell the last two Acts just "end" before you actually go anywhere. Just... END. It was very weird, like a producer kicked in the door and said "This Ships TUESDAY!" and that was that LOL.
And the last boss fight is awful.

If you have other games to play or are just looking for an impulse buy, I'd say pass.

If you love 3rd person action RPGs, have played all the big ones and are looking for something to pick up I'd say go for it, there's enough going on to make it a decent enough game.

Dang! Those individually listed Cinemaware games on GOG now come across as quite a poor value... :/
