Melvinica: Can someone remember from past events if games like Lands of Lore, Realms of Arkania or the Ishar Compilation have appeared in the flash deals?
avatar
Leroux: You can check the lists in this thread, but as far as I know, none of the games you mention have been part of the flash deals so far.

EDIT: Oh, or did you mean in similar promos earlier this year?
Yep, the question was about similar promos.
avatar
RandomJC: ...i kind of want it now.
avatar
Leroux: Task accomplished! [insert evil overlord laugh here] ;)
I get this and Myst...*drool*
avatar
Antimateria: What an horrible steal. =P Other than that I just thought. We must be in the same page that's why I asked.
avatar
gamesfreak64: you mean that we are on the same thoughts? that we both buy 'crappy' games?
well technically no game is crap unless it crashes all the time.
but some games are worth to pay more for it then others.
1st person, 3d exploring and all that stuff is not my game and certainly not my cup of tea, as soon as i see those things my stomach turns and i get an strange feeling.... so i avoided these games since i was a kid.
That why i love flat games /2d like the original jagged alliance, redalert, c&c, fallout commandos
unfortunatley they made 3d versions of all of those and that is bad.

Good for me, cause if i was able to play all games i would have a shortage of paysafecards, but with this 'restriction' on myself, it saves me alot of money, cause i have googled and 75% or even more is 3d gaming, or its 2d but has lightflashes (lighten up the full screen)
those are a big nono for me aswell ... thats why i am very limited i playing/buying games.

So i think i already have most of the real GOG here.
Just waiting for more 2d flat no special effects indie games :D
ow and platform jumping screens that bump up and down and diagonally is also a guaranteed headache and thro up.
Thats why started to buy casual games since 5 years now.
Well to be fair you lied or i believe you and i believe nothing. but i would like to play Double dragon in co-op with you, or against you in mortal kombat. And nobody buys casual games or play those that's why you are my nemesis. =D
How is that Real Myst Masterpiece Edition?
avatar
gamesfreak64: nice deal:

Spiderweb RPGs

Geneforge Saga, Avernum Saga, Avadon 1+2
€37.46 ---> €5.66

85%

bought it, and downloaded
played these type of games way back on the c64, amiga and the old pc (pentium 100 mhz 8 mb ram)
and at this nice deal its a steal

edit: almost forgot this swap 3 clone:

TRIPLE TOWN € 7.99 ----------> € 1.99
Unfortunately all the Spiderweb RPGs have no in-game music. I'm still remember how I was excited when I heard in-game music of Ultima 4 on my C64.

And you don't have to be worried about anything.. I seem to be a forum drunk anyway, so take it easy. Still I'll say what i see. so basically nothing. =D
avatar
yyahoo: Well, over the past 2 1/2 years, *none* of the Myst games have been any more than 67% off individually. This might be the best deal you're going to get on it until they *maybe* lower the regular price, but in truth, that doesn't happen a lot on GOG. I'm not saying it doesn't happen, but it's infrequent.
avatar
ReynardFox: Hm, I guess I should just bite the bullet then. Cheers for that.
Welcome!

Oh, and BTW, my pricing data was courtesy of isthereanydeal.com. Another interesting note, this is the cheapest that real myst masterpiece has been since release. Steam's lowest price was $8.99.

Melvinica: Yep, the question was about similar promos.
Hm, no idea. My memory says the Ishar compilation has never been in a flash sale so far, the Arkania games neither, but they've been given away for free on several occasions, and Lands of Lore 1+2 might have been in a RPG bundle once. But no guarantees that my memory is reliable. ;)

That makes the pill easier to swallow, TY again. :)

There is still plenty you see, i just say.. Well I'm not saying or making people better, they already should be when talking to me. =) I like talking about games, could you even break the eluvian mirror if you did not romance merril in DA2? Well I don't remember.
avatar
RandomJC: So..MACHINARIUM any good?
It's cute, presumably not too long, and somewhat challenging despite the simple controls. For me the first two are good, the last kept me from finishing it so far; dunno, for others it might be the other way around. Actually, what I don't like about it is that you can't walk around freely but only to certain points on the screen, and if you want to, say, interact with a lever, you first have to tell your character to move to the lever, before interacting with it is even an option, while in other p&c adventures, he would automatically walk to the lever and you could see all available actions on the screen without moving to specific points first. So that's a bit roundabout. And I think there's no key to display all the hotspots, so you could easily overlook one. But apart from that, I think it's a good adventure game, and it's nice how it tells a story without words.

(It's also a flash game, I believe, so don't expect too many options to change the settings, and don't right-click on the screen.)

Does Septerra Core run in a dosbox or is it a Windows game?

Matruchus: Reposting this for anybody interested.

The new dlc for The Last Federation by Arcen Games called Betrayed Hope is now on GOG.com.

Link to the gamepage: http://www.gog.com/game/the_last_federation_betrayed_hope

IAmSinistar: Thanks, I missed that. Haven't played the base game yet, but will probably pick this DLC up eventually. Might wait for a better discount though, unless I play the game sooner and have to have this expansion.
No problem. Was just posting about this cause there was no official release thread for the dlc/expansion.
