moonshineshadow: While I wish for insomnia I think there won't be one this year, next one will probably Christmas sale :-(
avatar
Matruchus: Yeah you are probably right unless we get a Christmas Insomnia :)
Nah this will be no good, my family provides too much distraction for Insomnia :D
If anybody is interested. The new dlc for The Last Federation by Arcen Games called Betrayed Hope is now on GOG.com.

Link to the gamepage: http://www.gog.com/game/the_last_federation_betrayed_hope

Thanks again to Judas for update on that.

25 mins to decide on SPAZ!
The zombie setting seems stupid, but the reviews are so high..
Is this a polished game, great even in the long run?
HAlp!

inc09nito: Uhmmm... no? I do not recall that and I do enter GOG website _every_ day.

I heard it has an awkward sense of humour. Screenshots (not to mention the cover) look rather bad to my taste. Also the concept (main character and plot) sounds indeed unepic. Overall seems to be a cheap and trashy indie game.

MWink: May 13, 2014 Spring Insomnia Sale. Pretty sure it was one of those limited stock flash sales.

Yes, UnEpic has a weird story and sense of humor but who cares? Just skip the rare story dialogue. I'm more interested in the gameplay, which I found quite good. I realize it's not for everyone and if you think the gameplay screenshots look bad then maybe it's not for you but I definitely wouldn't call it a "cheap and trashy indie game". It's a very solid platformer.

BTW, does anyone know if this sale will have multiple passes on the flash sales? I was pondering Pathologic (for $2) but I just couldn't make up my mind. It looks like something I'd either love or hate and I'm not sure which. I also know that it has a remake coming eventually.
I just finished a playthrough of Pathologic about 10 days ago (all three characters, way over 100 hours). The game is hard and very specific. Definitely not for everyone and yes, probably one of those hate-or-love titles. Very unique story and setting different than in any western game. It's hard to recommend it, but if you are looking for something adventure-like with a fresh story and concepts then it could be worth a try, especially for such a price.

*hands you a grain of salt*

Yeah, I played it for quite a while and I think it's a nice game. I do have to admit that it takes a while to get used to the shop steering once you start upgrading to the larger models.

My favorite ship model was the Bus because you could fit it with a cannon where you could launch crew members as ammo and hostile take over crews of enemy ships :D I always have a surplus of crew so it's a great weapon :D

Also, the game runs smooth on my Mint 17 install and I don't think I've ever seen it crash when I ran it on Windows 7 :)

Thanks Judas, but what would you choose between Last Federation, SPAZ and Space Rangers 2? (10 minutes argh!)

If we had Space Rangers 2 here, I'd choose that one :) Quite the addicting little game :)

If you like grand strategy and being a sneaky, manipulative little bugger, pick The Last Federation (we just added the DLC today too :D )

If you want to play as a space pirate and you don't mind taking some physics into account when steering ships, pick SPAZ :)

Lemme know if I can help with anything else :)

Ok, I've found that Spaz is grindy and quite repetitive after a while. I'll skip it, then.
I'll wait for SR2 or check LF, thanks ; )

P.S: still waiting for a good flash sale for Depths of Peril :P

Where do you see Space Rangers 2? That game was removed from the catalog a long time ago :/

No no, I don't see it, I just made a note about SR2, but I didn't know that it was here and then removed :O

I'd like to get only the best titles and skip the average (even if these sales are always sooooo tempting).

EDIT: ninja'd on edit, but the meaning is unchanged

I don't want to buy everything lol (even if these sales are always sooooo tempting).

LF has this interesting interpretation of turn-based combat :) It's fully turn-based but it feels ALMOST like the combat in Baldur's Gate because everyone is shooting, moving, all at the same time :)

I suggest looking for an LP of that game :)

That game is not available in any online store. Only Space Rangers HD is now available in other stores.

Space Rangers 1+2 have been pulled from all the online stores so that the developers could sell Space Rangers HD: A World Apart which is like a remake of SR 2 with expanded storyline.

RandomJC: I loved Jade Empire. I played through a good portion of Dark eye, and thought it was very good. Trine I never touched.

But yeah, I buy so much that I may never get to play, but I don't feel really ripped off, not yet at least. Of course now I'm going to make an effort to at least have them all downloaded so If on a whim I decided to play...*digs through list* Ohh I do have Trine, didn't realize that.

Where was I...

Oh right. I love you GOG!

edit: counted...149 games so far...and that isn't breaking apart the Tomb raider packs, or the police quest packs, or the multitude of 5 for 1 shelf space packs.

Shaaka: Yeah same here, i'm trying to download all of the game in my library, might take some time though
That's why god made computers that run all night and sleeping.
I'm only through like 10% of my catalog right now. least now I won't have an excuse not to play.
Tales of Monkey Island
$34.99 -> $3.49
You save $31.50 (90%)

Lol, has it really ever been sold for $34.99 here?
This seems ridiculous to me.
