I'm looking at the flash deals, and all the games that I'm interested in are already marked as owned. Man, I really gotta catch up with playing some of the unplayed games in my library. I wish I just could buy more lifetime somewhere.

godtrams: Sacred 2 Gold is comming up - described as singleplayer only??? *confused* Played it years ago and liked it very much for the offline LAN co-op modus. Is that gone in the GOG 'Version' of the game? Anyone knows more?
The online servers are gone but you can still play open online but then you can't tell if your playmates are cheating or not. You can also use a VPN to play LAN but over the net or just LAN.

MWink: Valdis Story has been on sale, by itself, as low as $3.75.
avatar
inc09nito: Uhmmm... no? I do not recall that and I do enter GOG website _every_ day.

avatar
MWink: I am curious why you think UnEpic looks bad? I loved it.
avatar
inc09nito: I heard it has an awkward sense of humour. Screenshots (not to mention the cover) look rather bad to my taste. Also the concept (main character and plot) sounds indeed unepic. Overall seems to be a cheap and trashy indie game.
It has been $3.74 before. It doesn't mention the sale on GOG, but I did purchase it for $3.74. It was during one of those limited flash sales.
In Ascendant, can you save and quit during a run or do you have to beat it in one sitting? Did anyone try the Easy difficulty setting? How much easier does it make the game? I'm tempted, but hard difficulty and permadeath aren't really my thing; and I think the only rogue-lite game that ever managed to hold my interest for a little longer was Binding of Isaac (and I eventually gave up on that, too) ...

Also, how does it compare to Abyss Odyssee? Which of the two you think is the more enjoyable game? Is there some kind of story to it?

How is that so German when it's a perfectly acceptable idiom in English?

Edit: Ninja'd.

Haha, it's okay. I assume there's a comparable idiom in German? I can see how that might lead to some confusion.

hmhm, confused anyway ;). I'm only interested in offline LAN (for me and my wife) and, for example, the description of the older Sacred still shows multiplayer/co-op ability for LAN, Sacred 2 does not. So still wondering because in the description of other games, GOG always refered to disabled online servers but also mentioned the offline functionality.

Would you use it in German to describe playing a game though? I don't think I would.

Um, right here? :P There are some women around this forum, and there are plenty of female gamers in real life as well.

it's nice that we have the sale, but one thing that's starting to get slightly annoying is the games i paid £3.20 for a few hours ago, are after a while up on the front page for £1.29 or 4.03 Euro (see attached gif for hilarity)

and yes they should sell more years for your life (i'm in my forties and will probably have to live well into my nineties to be able to get through the one's i've bought lol )

ohwell i'm sure theirs more that will take my fancy (i wish they would put 'The Vanishing of Ethan Carter' up on sale )
