dremulator: thanks guys and gals for the Mount & Blade freebie, :-)
seems the freebie is £2.00 or $3.14 at gamers gate (and that's on offer), plus it comes with that nasty drm euch x-)

i also bought a shed load of games,(note to self must show more restraint in future) btw to anyone reading this if you see a game you want at half price, wait a little while as it may show up on the front page at 73% off

btw would love to see some smileys on these pages as i think it would brighten the place up a bit
:)

In the last 24 hours, I've made about 7 individual GOG purchases with PayPal and now my next purchase is getting denied.

Anyone got a tip?
Same problem here:

> Something went wrong
> Your payment attempt was declined by your bank because they require your confirmation, or additional information from you.

Other Paypal purchases (non-GOG) work fine so I guess problem's on GOGs side..

FoxySage: Has anyone here played Sudeki? I was looking at it and it looked a bit interesting, but i know nothing about it. Is it any good?
avatar
MadyNora: Let me copy-paste what I wrote in another thread about Sudeki :)
I have a few more questions:

- I take it you can switch the leader at any time during battle? Or are you stuck with a melee or ranged fighter for all eternity (or at least for the battle)? What about the 1 on 1 boss fights, do you get to choose between melee and ranged?

- You said something about walking roads - is there a way to quick travel later on, or do you have to trace back linear roads to get anywhere?

- Do the opponents appear out of nowhere or can you spot an upcoming fight in the distance? Do the enemies respawn if you pass teh same spot again or can you clear out areas / roads?

- Do you remember how long the game is?

Thanks!

"Controls are a bit awkward, but easy to get used to. (I played from start to almost finish on keyboard-mouse, and didn't have any control issues after the first 5-10 minutes)
That is good to hear since that would be the way i'd play it. (Don't have a controller)

MadyNora: (copy-paste what I wrote in the original release thread)
"It's open-world, but not in the way of a TES game. The map is open, but you can only walk on roads.
There are 4 playeable characters. You control 1, that "leads" the group. In fights (real time), you control the leader, the others are being controlled by AI. If you pick a ranged char you fight in FPS mode, if you control a meelee char you fight in third peson, with (possible) combo moves.
Ranged weapons are either: shoot fast, but weak dmg, of shoot slow, but huge dmg.

Bosses are always 1vs1, and they always require a bit of a brainwork/strategy to defeat.
Monsters spawn on specific areas you enter on the road, and you can not leave the area until you've killed them all.
You lost me there. I hate FPS-ish gameplay, it feels awkward and restricting to play like that and it was one of the reasons i never played Fallout 3.

MadyNora: I don't really remember the story, but I remember that I liked it a lot, and it has many places to explore, like a shadow plane, or a steampunk-like city :)"
...but then you got me hooked in again with that. That sounds awesome. :D Maybe i'll give it a try since it is pretty cheap right now.
I also got the same Problem with the Paypal purchase, wrote a Support-Ticket,

guess I did like 5 purchases today and then this happened:

> Something went wrong
> Your payment attempt was declined by your bank because they require your confirmation, or additional information from you.

hope the solution comes quick, Sudeki is waiting <3

I can confirm goglins message, Paypal-actions elsewhere work.

It seems to be a general issue GOG is having with PayPal right now, there's even a thread about it. I only bought 2 games so far, one yesterday, one today and I got the same problem. Maybe try logging out, clearing your browser's cache, shut it and then load it and log into GOG again? It worked for me, but it could have been luck.

Oh, good question there.

Indeed, it is a problem on GOG's end and they are working on it according to the post by one of their support staff Firek.

You can switch the player character any time, both in and out combat.

Nope, when it comes to bosses you can't chose. The story will tell you which one can fight.

At first you can't teleport. Later portals will open because of story reasons, and you'll be able to use them to quick travel.

The enemies appear out of nowhere, and respawn. But they only appear at specific points on the map. You can't leave that area until you've killed them all.

How long umm... It's been a while sice I've last played... it was at least 20hrs, but I didn't finish the game.

Edit for spelling

try closing down the browser then try again, i had the same problems earlier , tbh i thought it was because i changed my mind on one of the games and pressed return to gog (or whatever it says) i think i tried 10 mins later, a scary situation when the game sale ended in 13mins on the home page

unfortunatelly no luck :(
(logged out from GOG, cleared the browser cache/cookies and restarted the browser)
Sooo Sang-froid any info?

RandomJC: Sooo Sang-froid any info?
Interesting variant on the Tower Defense genre. I like the setting and artstyle, and the mood is good. If you like TD games, or even if (like me) you are somewhat indifferent to them, it's a good deal at this price.

I thought it was a pretty good spin too. It's well handled and the story is enjoyable. My only complaint on the game is that is that it has kinda high end requirements and it did not run well at all on my mid range pc. I was a bit disappointed by that.
