Well, i'm feeling a Homeworld replay coming nearer and nearer, that's for sure, Horizon also produces a certain pull which for now is more of a comforting feeling of superiority then a real act on the matter kind of thing, Need for Speed- The Run would also be counted among trips to places that you must see, even if it is for a second time. The legendary remastered edition of the Mass Effect Trilogy it at least worthy of mentioning on any bucket list and with Cyberpunk 2077 only enjoyed through the intro sequence i'd say yea, that one is welcome too. From there i also like to add yet another openworld action rpg hybrid namely Jedi the Fallen Order. There is a nice expectancy going on for Distant Worlds 2 and to be honest, Galactic Civilizations IV will probably also count towards my gaming budget this year around. Outside these prime contenders i leave 2 spots open for games chosen on the fly, baldurs gate for example will eventually end up being played too... Oh and of course some good old oldies will play a part too such as Fantasy General and Fallen Haven, and maybe even Submarine Titans

Even admitting what a total gaming junkie I am, if I were to learn I'd kick the bucket soon, I don't think *any* game would still be on my priority list, so the premise is a bit tricky, heh. It's probably easier to imagine a scenario where all of your games will stop working or be taken away from you soon, and the time left before that happens only allows you to play through 12 of them at max (also a bit unrealistic due to the significant variety in gamelength, but okay).

Still hard to decide though. Is it better to catch up on well-known classics you missed out on or have fun one last time with something already familiar to you? Hm...

I'm having fun with VR right now. Trying Vr should be something on your bucket list, if you're mobile enough.

If you're lying at home with nothing to do but a controller, I'd grab some interesting stories like Witcher, or fun worlds to explore like Skyrim.

I love Piranha Byte games. I'm working through Elex now. I love the explore, hunt, dodge strong enemies, find loot games.

If you have some friends that want to spend some virtual time together, then I would add some MP games. Company of Heroes, Empire Earth, and Northgard would be mine.

But also, I'm a gaming hobbyist, not a live and breathe games sort of person. I like the technical aspects as much or more than the game itself. So helping someone enjoy a game is probably more rewarding than enjoying it myself. Or enjoying someone's company and a game there in the middle is lovely.

What I've realized many years ago was that I am going to kick the bucket. So why play fillers? I like to try things I might be interested in and then keep playing them as long as I'm interested.

Guys, we're dying! There's no time to waste making lists and dealing with long tutorials and complex rules! So Tetris, just Tetris.

Before I spend my last moments playing Tetris, I think I'd rather play Russian Roulette instead. XD

12 seems a bit much, the question should be more focused imo.

I propose the following scenario: Gamer genocide has begun. The government in your country has made gaming illegal and is now actively hunting down any remaining gamers. You've been arrested by the secret police and are now awaiting your execution in some cellar. While you hear the cries of your fellow gamers who are beaten and killed next door, you're asking the guards: "May I play one last game, before I die?".
Out of curiosity they agree. Which game do you choose, to relive your fond gaming memories? And might you even be able to persuade the guards that gaming is all right and persecuting gamers an injustice? Might you even convert the guards to gaming?
In any case, you need to choose wisely.

I'd pick A Way Out. Or any game that is able to turn nice gamers into crazed killers. Both should prove useful in that situation!

A co-op game is certainly a good idea for bonding with the guards...you might yet survive gamer genocide :-)
