tburger: It never stops to amaze me how people on the other side of ocean write dates :-P
Well, I kinda get it. They just want to be different from rest of the world like a special snowflake, hence those dates, Fahrenheits, inches and such. A bit like North Korea came up with its own timezone between other timezones and their very own calendar,
the Juche Calendar.
But at least it is not as bad as in Australia, where the clock actually goes counterclockwise. Something to do with how their side of the globe rotates to the opposite direction as the rest of the world. Also their seasons are all messed up, summer in January etc. "I'm dreaming of a brown Christmas...", yeah right.
