I use gogrepo.py and a download manager, because my network is cheap and bad.
Sometimes gogrepo.py failed to download really big installers, while download manager works fine.

Linux installers of GOG could be as large as 24 GB in one single file.

Ah..but are you using Kalanyr's version? (gogrepoc)
It's the most updated one and it should retry & resume automatically.
You can also select specific games via IDs, by the way.

Ah, that explains it. Tbh I don't bother with the linux/mac installers, I think Wine will work fine in most cases if needed.
