While I was doing things I decided to revisit this top 10 list
And MY how different it looks now that the LucasArts games are officially 'likely' to show up any time!
I also decided to change my mind and allow Vampire: Bloodlines on because it's Activision and available elsewhere (and NO, Blizzard / Battle.net still doesn't count!)
I extended it to top 20 because I didn't want to loose the wishlist URLs and stuff will probably be bubbling back up into the top 10 with more Lucas releases!
'citing times!
Good list. I will however point out that Bloodlines was removed from DotEmu 2 years ago. Plus there's the fact that GOG want to keep classics below $10 as much as possible and Activision are going to want at least twice that.

Stranger things have happened on GOG. But to me at least that doesn't seem like a top 10 candidate when there are so many EA and Ubisoft games that GOG have probably got on hold for a rainy day.

Well, the reason I left it off before was 'licensed property' because its based on the White Wolf tabletop game but Activision can clearly sell it (unless it's region locked in some parts?) - actually looks more likely that the original Blood Omen and Black and White games at this point

The list is based on me looking at the all-time votes on the wishlist and editing out those games that don't look likely, based on being from an unsigned publisher, there being external IP issues (e.g. Blade Runner) or they're not actually BEING a PC version (Chrono Trigger)

It's the top 10 most voted games once the ones that don't look possible right now have been edited out, not the top 10 games ranked purely on their likelihood of being added, popular or not!
Thanks for your input though

Well who knows anyway? There's nothing to say it won't be released tomorrow, when it comes down to it. If they got the opportunity, GOG would probably force it through ahead of the more steadfast Disney releases.

Didn't I hear that the Steam version has compatibility issues? It might even be one of those that is was OKed for release years ago but can't get through QA!

The Steam version has got some real problems. So yeah, that could be the reason. But then KOTOR's got some real problems too and it looks like GOG's fixed those. But then KOTOR was a finished, polished game that got scrawed over by a subsequent development in GPU hardware/drivers. Bloodlines is the roughest of rough diamonds. Spotting problems must be that much harder when there are so many glaring ones right there in your face.

It's one of those games I'd be happy to see some kind of remake of. Just to see it finished.
With the release of Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords and Star Wars: X-Wing Vs. TIE Fighter the top 10 lost its 9th and 10th places, keeping a top 20 this has brought in Jedi Knight (which should have been on there anyway as it had overtaken the original C&C in 20th at some point) and SWAT 4
Black and White 2 and Final Fantasy VIII also swapped places, with Black and White moving up a place

*edir* also added notes on why I'm not including System Shock and Resident Evil series and added some emboldening to the explanation section

Updated for the releases of Jedi Knight from 18th and, slight controversially, Grim Fandango Remastered from 1st (as I said in the 'changes' section - the wishlist entry for the original is here and if it gets enough votes for the top 20 it will reappear on the list - can't say fairer than that!)

This brings 2 more titles in the Jedi Knight series - JK2 and jedi Academy into 19th and 20th places, both looking VERY likely to turn up before long!

Oh dear, I didn't realised that the Monkey Island 2 in position 5 hadn't been marked as completed because there was a seperate wish for the 'Special Edition' remake so I fudged it and said that because of the release of the SE I no longer consider the regular version a 'likely' release so I didn't have to undo a bunch of changes

This brings The Neverhood into 20th place - I have no idea how likely I truly think The Neverhood's release IS - Seems like it could either turn up any day or info could be released that explains why there's major difficulties any day also!

Other changes were Black and White 2 moving up above Alice and SWAT 4 overtaking Command & Conquer

Ok the main reason I had another look at the list was because back on 28th April GOG released Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast and Jedi Academy so they disappeared from from 18th and 19th places, bringing Escape From Monkey Island and Jazz Jackrabbit 2 into the top 20

In other news, SWAT 4 jumped 3 places from 16th to 13th, splitting the first 2 C&C: Red Alert games and I also added a note to say that I, sadly, still do not consider the Star Trek Armada games 'likely' as all the Star Trek games that GOG has (amazingly) added so far have been from Interplay and these were published by Activision. I would, as always, love to be proved wrong though...

M$ with AoE2 on ransom..........
Finally updated for the coming of Zenimax:
"2015-08-26 Zenimax comes to GOG making id and Bethesda titles 'likely' for the first time - Fallout 3, Quake 2 and Hexen join the table!"

Also the Hexen wish is for 'Hexen 1 and 2' and as I let that one slide I decided to let the 'Mass Effect 1, 2 and 3' wish into the table for the first time too! (or did that one just jump up the wishlist recently or something?)

I'm sure that Oblivion is far more likely to be released here than Fallout 3.

Fallout 3 may be the game that'll introduce massive regional restrictions and censorship when it gets released here. I am not so sure if GOG are going to be willing to accept this game in the new future.

It could go either way. I mean, Saints Row 2 is censored on the German Steam, but not here...

It looks like Mass Effect 2 (http://www.gog.com/wishlist/games/mass_effect_2) now redirects to this wish:
http://www.gog.com/wishlist/games/mass_effect_2_wdlc
Earlier GOG made changes so that Hexen 2 redirects to Hexen 1 + 2, and assorted Assassin's Creed games were incorrectly absorbed with Assassin's Creed 3. Different Morrowind entries were merged into Morrowind GotY Edition. It's not exactly elegant, but maybe those kinds of wishlist entry mergings helped GOG convince Bethesda to come aboard, and Ubisoft to release more titles again, since the mergings involved their games. It could be that GOG is making a renewed push for E.A.?
