Is the game up to date with the Steam version? Unless there's a version mismatch between platforms, Steam says its version is 2.2, but that was also form Sep 9, 2015

I'm afraid you'll remain confused unless you contact GOG Support or the devs/pubs - I don't own the game, just posted the changelog when it became available; sorry.
