Installed but can't seem to run it. I see tons of issues regarding Windows 10 so I figured it's just part of the reality now. Real shame, I spent countless hours with this game.

There is a file that corrects having no menu and the game not running. But I downloaded it months ago.
I works fine but I don't remember where I got it from but it contains a dsound file and a dsound.dll file. These correct
the problem. Sorry can't be more help. But it's out there somewhere.

same issue , i have downloaded the github patch but still no start gaem load or any thing on thr start panel . any one have a step by step

I just purchased it about an hour ago. I can start the game but the little menue has no text, only blank white bars. If you do manage to guess which one takes you to a game, it is unplayable. A stopwatch looking thing pops up and then flashes down to the lower right, then flashes and pops back up on the top left. It does this for minutes at time. I have to ALT + Tab out, and then close the process.

Completely unplayable on Windows 10 and any compatability pack I've tried, even as an administrator.

Edit: The unofficial patch seems to have solved the grahpics error. I will see if its fixed fully.

Just to help out anyone who has issues,
I'm running the following version of windows: Windows 10.0.18362
With the following hardware:
Intel Xeon E5-1650 3.5ghz
64GB RAM
Nvidia GeForce GTX 980

I managed to get the game working after some troubleshooting.
The link mentioned by Schuutje does indeed fix the game but there can still be issues. I found that trying to run the game with a native display resolution above 1920*1080 made the game flicker and fails to start.

In the fix mentioned "github.com/elishacloud/dxwrapper/wiki/Gangsters-Organized-Crime", there is a thread linking to another post in the gangster forums.

I didnt have to do this Nvidia fix to make the game work on my machine, so do try without first.

TL:DR
Ensure resolution is equal or below 1920*1080
Install the fix and follow the steps. ( github.com/elishacloud/dxwrapper/wiki/Gangsters-Organized-Crime )
Run the game, if fails try Nvidia fix also.

What is the fix path though? I feel very skeptical to install a github link to install on my computer.

Please someone help i cant even get to the menu at all i downloaded the files and placed them in the Gangsters folder like everyone says but when i try to launch the game i just get a black screen for about 30 seconds and then its just back to desktop for me what am i doing wrong? (running windows 10)
