Got arrested and while my game ended a few weeks earlier due to running out of money, I was listed in the crimes section as "Part read" after being interogated, what does this mean?

It means the case is part read by a judge.

Okay, but what does that even mean? I couldn't find a legal definition for the phrase "Part Read".

it just means that the trial is "in process".

You have several Trial states: Interrogating, Part read, and some others I don't remember right now. Each state can take a few weeks, so you get time to apply an strategy. Then comes the Veredict, or the judge can drop the case.
