I know how to make money, how tp open business even how to hire lawyers, new members and accountants, how to hire police, the mayor etc... But I still dont how to extort and collect the money (properly). In week 3, even if I send all my hood to extort and recruit new members, my enemies will always have 3x more territory and gangsters than me. Why? When going to extort, should I select some differents comercials areas to do it? I always extort the richest ones at first.

One example is Im in week 5 now, overall power Im the 2nd, but in territory controlled Im with 35 and the others are at least 70... Impossible to extort all the stores atm, so what sould I do? Donate to church means that Im increasing my territory? How can I increase my controlled area like my enemies?

Work on gaining territory before extorting. I always just send out all my teams to go extort a crap load of territory for like the first four weeks. At the start of the game (I've not played in a while so forgive me if I'm misremembering some stuff) you're better off robbing high-end stores like jewelry stores and grocery stores, pawn stores, etc, for money.

You'll lose territory and it's not that big of a deal, territory closer to your HQ lasts longer. Territory is harder for other gangs to take if you're top of the power demographic.

Totally agree with you, on week 2 I always send 2 gangsters to rob dep stores e the big bank. I can make more than 15k. Until week 5, Im on top, money, territory, mobs etc. But after week 7, its impressive how territory my enemies have. Im about 35 and they`re at 220, idk how. If I try to extort far away from my HQ, most of the people will refuse to pay me. I always try to open another office to extort another area, but takes to long, 4 weeks to start operating. The problem is how my enemies increase their territory so fast.

And what do you mean when you say "gaining territory before extort"? As far as I know, the only way to increase your territory is extorting and after collecting protection, right?! If there's another way, you'll help me a lot.

I meant collecting protection, not sure why I said extort. But I've found sending huge teams just to extort right off the bat nets much more territory, but after that beginning window it's much harder to gain territory.

I know what I was doing. All this time, trying to start the game at the corner of the map, South East side. Reason: docks. So was impossible to extort further without cars. I started a new game, with HQ in the middle of a tons of building to extort. I found my mistake, now its easy to expand my territory and collecting, no problem with that anymore. Trying to send intelligent mob to explore, but even tho cant find anything.

You have to constantly switch out the people you have running your businesses the moment they become wanted. It becomes a pain in the ass, but if you're quick enough you places won't get raided. To find mob HQs I usually wait until a rival is spotted in my territory then follow them until the end of the week and see which building they enter by the end of the week. It's usually a decent method to find enemy HQs.

One way you can get more blocks quicker, is to extort only one store on a commercial block. If you just click it on the zoomed-out map, it'll do all 8 stores.

So extort x8 = 1 block
But if you do only 1 store on a commercial block, extort x8 = 8 blocks territory
