Yeah, it says that if an alpha wolf harms any of his beta wolves, he himself will be harmed the exact same way that he harmed the beta. I assumed this is why VG didn't kill VZ, asking Gabriel to do it instead.

No. According to the lycanthropy book, the alpha wolf is the wolf who became a werewolf via curse or birth. All the wolves who have been bitten by him are his betas. All wolves bitten by his betas are also HIS betas. So a beta is never anyone's alpha. Only the alpha is the alpha.

VG bit VZ, who bit Gabriel. If what you were saying is true, Gabriel's curse would have been broken when he shot VZ. And then the game probably would been just 5 chapters long.

The fact is, Gabriel is still a werewolf after he shoots VZ. And at the end of the game, it is possible to lock Gabriel and VG together in the wrong room. If this happens, the 2 wolves will fight, and VG will kill Gabriel. According to the werewolf book, if VG kills Gabriel, VG should also die.

Then again, maybe VG does die too? As in, if you make this happen, VG knows he's dead no matter what so he decides he might as well take Gabriel with him? The confusing thing to me is that you only see one dead wolf and it's a gray wolf.
