I'm trying to install GK2 on my 64 bit Windows 7 system. The catalogue entry says it's compatible, but when I try to run the installer I get this error:

The version of this file is not compatible with the version of Windows you're running. Check your computer's system information to see whether you need an x86 (32-bit) or x64 (64-bit) version of the program, and then contact the software publisher.

I just downloaded it today (using the downloader). So it should be the latest version. Running the installer as administrator doesn't make any difference. Is it mislabeled as compatible, or am I having a weird issue on my machine?

- Try re-downloading setup file (.exe) through browser.
- check if the file sizes match:

setup_gabriel knight_2 .exe file. 2.27 MB
setup_gabriel knight_2-1 .bin file. 1.95 GB
setup_gabriel knight_2-2 .bin file. 487 MB

Considering that there are others who installed GK2 on Win7 x64, I'll risk a guess that something is wrong on your side or the download got corrupted

Thanks. Just wanted to check if it was a known issue before I tried redownloading the whole thing. I didn't notice the actual installer was so small. I redownloaded that through the browser and it worked fine with the bin files I already had.

Good you didn't have to redownload the whole thing.
GOG Downloader is (unfortunately) still a thing to be avoided, considering the number of people having issues with it.

And here I was using it precisely because I thought it would be less likely to screw up big downloads. Thanks for the tip.
