I launch, start a new game, the intro cutscenes play fine, then I end up at a dumpster and have a crosshair cursor. I've tried clicking everywhere (left click and right click) but nothing happens. Is there supposed to be a character on the screen? Or a menu that appears when I click on things? Nothing seems to do anything.

It should look like in the attached picture. No character is on screen (yet), but you should be able to do something to put a remedy to this.

***Spoiler warning***

If you left click on the cover of the garbage bin on the right, you should open it and Ben gets out.
